good for you! i'm not saying 20fps is bad but 25 would be much smoother...

The skipping at the end of some MP3's is still there, very annoying, this really needs to be fixed !!

Pleased to report that synchronizing the M6 with WMP 11 using MTP apparently does not hang up WMP. It also transfers playlists assigned to sync with the device. Not sure yet on album art, though.

Transfer is a little bit slower than using plain MSC. (I've a 1.85GB Mix Playlist). I'll update through the night, but I'm pleased so far.

Update: *Sigh*. MTP support is still sketchy with WMP 11. WMP stops suddenly, for no apparent reason. It can't recognize replacing songs in playlists and it's too slow. Back to MSC for me.

Still no improvement on the id3-tags in the playlist.
Fucking shite, i hate this.
Another thng im irritated about is why did we get less colours to choose from on the menue-bar?! This changed a few updates back if im not totally wrong, i thought it was temporary, guess not. I guess we wont even be able to change it at all soon.
Maybe i sound lika an asshole but im getting tired of stupid implementations (like GIF-files?), usefull stuff disappearing and not improving on other simple stuff (like giving us the option to show the damn ARTIST-NAME in the PLAYLISSSTT!).

Sigh..
I couldn't agree with you more. Meizu is rolling out stuff with minimal use in very mediocre ways, meanwhile ignoring the big show-stopping bugs that have troubled its player and its users since the beginning.

Yay... we now have support for animated GIFs, and we have a live spectrum analyzer that works if you drown out the text on screen into a big wash of background. Is anybody really excited about that?

At the same time, the player still has horrible bugs when playing regular vanilla mp3 music files. I'm not even talking about fancy DRM-laden wma or anything. Just MP3, the mother of all compressed music formats. (One of the biggest bugs being the horrible loudening of a track, before skipping the rest of it altogether).

Also, startup time still is nowhere near what people seem to want, and shutdown time is way too fast, and it seems Meizu is just ignoring this, although it's steadily been one of the most requested features.

And now, for me personally, and some others, a freak of a bug makes the player update disc information on every single startup.

The disenchantment with Meizu is getting very tangible around here.

Agreed. Let's fix the annoying end of song stutter, the blow your ears off white noise and the updating disc information all the freaking time before adding relatively useless things like GIF support. Fix any and all sound issues first. We DO buy these things to listen to don't we? I want a player that sounds good, plays my files flawlessly, and is devoid of low volume hiss. Can you do that Meizu? That's firmware worth releasing.

no stutter when syncing with WMP11 or Napster in MTP, only when dragging the songs manually over using MSC...

no white noise with my player, at least not enough to make my scream and get rid of my player...

und the "updating disc info" works without problems...

Marleyfan, your comments are spot on. The hissing from the M6 would have been a deal breaker for me - if only I'd known about it before buying! If Meizu manages to cure that particular issue by firmware, I (and I'm sure many others) will be very pleased.

On a lighter note I've upped the dancing spiderman anim plus bonus anims.

So are you saying that syncing using WMP eliminates the stutter? I hate WMP but if it eliminates the stutter I'll use it. As for the white noise, it has only happened 3 times, but that's 3 times too many. Partway through a song it will suddenly become white noise and will increase in volume til it's unbearable. I suspect it may be a file problem cuz it does it on the same songs. I've eliminated those songs. And I'm not sure what you mean "updating disc info works without problems." The problem I'm referring to is that it updates disc info every single time I transfer songs, delete songs, charge via computer or charge via wall charger. And sometimes it takes over a minute.

I have owned or tried several players. My son has a Sansa e280. The problem is even worse on his. My iRiver Clix didn't have hiss. My Creative Zen didn't have it. But the sound quality of the Meizu is better than any of those. Once the low level hiss is cured, along with the other things I mentioned, I'll be totally happy with this player.

Ohhhhh nicee!!!! Now we can see animated gif! wow!! Yes.. huum... ok ok.. lets talk seriously now..

Do they fixed the video/sound sync bug?
Do they fixed the controls changing (with no explanation for it) when we just want to see a video?
Do they fixed the low volume hiss?
Do they included the (long long waited) option to change the time to auto-shutdown to other than the 3 minutes?
There is still a huge bar in the screen, showing the picuture name, when we just want a fast view/forward of a picture to another?

ok... thanks for the gif support, Meizu.

(Dont take me wrong.. Im just disapointed... again)

Firmware 2.003.2 is now officially available for download in Meizu.com's download centre.

Changes:
  1. Support GIF animation
  2. Eliminated some noise caused by corrupted mp3 files
  3. Fixed some FLAC playback issues
  4. Simplified the touch strip operation: cancelled the tap-up tap-down function. Every tap is now equivalent to the ENTER key.
  5. When browsing songs or reading ebooks, can use the Previous/Next key to jump to the beginning/Middle/End
  6. When reading ebooks, it's now possible to scroll line by line.
  7. When updating database, now displays a progress bar and the filenames.
  8. Changed the icon that appears when loading a video.

Additional notes:
It's been reported by some users in the official forum that upgrading will not format the player. I haven't upgraded. YMMV

Well, there is v2.003.2 out now. I guess if it is released at Meizu's website, then it is "Officialized". But I'm hoping M6 firmware never "finalizes" :D

btw i meant that 2.003.02 it's the same as 2.003.1 ... nothing more

btw2 i've a question: i'm waiting my miniplayer to be delivered...
which is the firmware do you think is the best (or less worse) so far?
