Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYeah, l can.
The post is about a guy that saw another guy's post about the possible release of the new 2.003.1 firmware. He rang up Meizu to ask for verification of this, and they said the firmware is coming out next week, just as the guy had said. He also said in his post, "if I lie, let thunder kick my ass!". So, I'm guessing it is for real.
I found another post... it is found here in chinese. According to the post, the poster bought a new M6 today (in China), and he has the S2.003.1 firmware installed on it. But since this is his 1st player, he doesn't know what is new (sigh).
He said there is no APE or OTG support, whilst others question him about possible GIF support - no response from poster yet. Also, a lot of them are very concerned with the low-volume hissing noise. I guess they will address these issues in the new firmware... coming out soon!
PS: I just found another post here (in chinese of course). It says in there about new firmware (2.003.1):
- new default background
- apparently, no more hissing sound, but volume has decreased (ie new volume 10 sounds like old volume 8 or something).Last edited by iversonjack; 04-15-2007 at 12:41 PM.

If they reduce the noisefloor in this new firmware version, I'll be a made man.
Current Rigs:
8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

that's cool. Did you ever think that Meizu was going to keep working on firmwares this long?
By far the best!Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

I hope(and kind of assumed) they would keep doing this untill the player is no longer made/sold...
the USB OTG function for example hasnt been implemented yet. Besides that it seems to their strategy to improve all the time...
I wouldnt be suprized if we get to see firmware 3.00.1 etc etc

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsHut do you believe USB OTG can be implemented?
Isn't there any harware issue? Is it just a software pbl?
I am just imagining how usefull it would be... From my camera to my M6 directly...

04-16-2007 #20'Kanji' is the Japanese word for Chinese loan characters in the Japanese written language...for us waiguoren, it's more appropriate to say "Too much Hanzi makes me dizzy" (....true enough, by the way :P )Too much kanji makes me dizzy.
