Hi, I need some help.
I have tried to upgrade to 2.002.3, but my M6 is stuck on a white screen. I have never had any problems before in upgrading, but I am now stuck.
I have tried to power off the player using a soft and hard reset, but the player just stays on a white screen and will not power off.
Any help would be appricated in fixing, but my main problem is that the player will no switch off.iPOD is dead...Long live Mini Player

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI had the same problem, i've upgraded a few times with this last firmware, exept that the last time, the player was f*ckin dead !
Even with DFU tools, i can't start the player, the only thing it does is a white screen when i press the forward button 10 seconds. After that there is nothing, my player is so dead, i had to return it in china with my warranty.
And as far as i can tell, i did see a lot of messages on various forums from people who actually got the same issue. I don't think there is a solution, well i hope i'm wrong for the future, my warranty is just for one year...
I was glad to own a meizu, now i'm just frustrated

Just fixed it

After reading more and more posts it appears that the miniPlayer is virtually impossible to brick. This spirred me on in finding a fix. In the end I found it.
This is what I did:-
1. Press and hold the Enter button for about 30 sec or until it powers off. (This was the bit I was stuck on for a long while, but appears I was wasn't holding it long enough).
2. Using the F&Q from this site I did a DFU Tool recovery: -
1. Install DFU Tools on your computer (only available for Windows).
2. Copy the firmware files (M6.EBN and resource.bin) to the directory where the DFU Tool is installed.
3. Press and hold Power button and M button, then connect to PC using the USB cable.
NB - YOU MUST NOW KEEP THE POWER BUTTON AND M BUTTON DEPRESSED ALL THOUGH THIS PROCESS. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FINGERS OFF THEM.
4. Before that Windows New Hardware Wizard will appears, asking if you want to connect to Windows Update to check for drivers, click on “No, not this time”. Click on next.
5. The next screen of the wizard asks if you want to install automatically or using a specific location (advanced). Select the advanced option, and then click next.
6. Check the 'Include this location in the search' option and specify the directory where DFU Tools is installed, after that, click next.
7. Let windows finish installing drivers. Once drivers are installed, you can use the DFU Tools.
8. Run the application and then click Download. When this is complete click close.
9. Disconnect your Miniplayer from PC and turn it on.
10. Screen showed will be green now, so you have to install the firmware again. After that your player will work fine again.
3. When I powered on it came up the normal "Updating Software" message as normal, but then a white screen again.
4. Powered off again by holding the Enter button for 30 secs.
5. Powered on again, but still white screen, so I did a Hard Rest by holding the Power on “>>|” buttons together until the player went off.
6. Powered back on the I now have firmware 2.002.3
I think the message here is never give up. Stay calm. Read the forums and follow the instructions to the letter.
Hope this helps people.iPOD is dead...Long live Mini Player

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI had the same problem and after some struggle I realized by putting my ears to the player there were different "buzzing-modes" to the white screened player. So eventually I got the "On" mode of the white screen and I connected the usb cable and my computer recognized the miniPlayer (mind you still have a white screen at this time). I dragged the firmware update files into the root directory and disconnect the player. Now from here I'm not entirely sure, but I think it started updating directly like usually and I got the "Meizu" welcome screen. Either that or I manually started it in the usual fashion. Hope this helps, and that I wasnt all too confusing
... Good luck
