    need advice

    My new m6 is coming in the mail later today... What are the best headphones on the market? Which firmware is thought to be the best right now? And what are the best sites for downloading music to the miniplayer(preferably FLAC)?

    Headphones: Check amazon to get an idea for inner bud noise canceling headphones. I personally use the stock phones. Works fine for me..

    Firmware: Upgrade to the latest.... no reason not to, unless of course someone can explain this one to me.

    Media: By best sites I assume you mean legally... Try URGE using WMP11 or Napster. There are others, I personally like URGE. URGE doesn't have flac but I think they use lossless wma.

    I know what you mean. When you read the topics on this forum it sounds as though the player is very buggy, and people keep suffering problems. Truth is I got my player last week (8gb, how pleased am I) and it works a treat. I have found one problem, and that was with the fm recorder. no big deal. Use the latest firmware, its good. Certainly more stable than you think it is at present.

    Yes the player is stable
    The reason why when you browse through the help topics on this forum the player might seem unstable is that people generally come here when they have problems
    So the posts give a very wrong view of the stability of the player as you don't hear all of those who don't experience any problems

    Besides that if you go deeper into the posts you will see that almost all problems have been solved

    Absolutely Job. People come here seeking answers to problems. Thing is i did my research, I checked the reviews, I ordered my player from China and then found this forum.

    I became increasingly nervous as I read the forum, in particular I watched the firmware discussions. It is actually kinda disparaging reading this. Let me be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR;

    The player works very well. The firmware is stable. The build quality is second to none. I would recommend it to anyone. Just wish I could figure out the album art.

    i totally agree. i really don't get it how some people keep complaining about the m6 as i personally have had no problems with it since i first bought it in october 2006.

    in any case, the firmware really is stable. don't be scared of the posts here, as these represent only those who encountered problems, and they are just a small percentage of owners.

    freedirk,

    for album art, just name your picture files the same as the album name in your tags. then put these inside the same folder as the music files. that should do the trick.

    Do i have to cange the name of the folder? or does that not matter? is it just looking for a match in the id tags?

    Edit; Nevermind! It works! Its amazing!
