I managed to quickly get my album art for my rips and save it in the [album][artist].jpg format. Instant Album art.
Available for linux and win32 environments.
All you do is just load the folder /MUSIC/ into the program and change settings to retrieve from all sources and change the file format to %album%artist.jpg. And it will create the file in its current directory which the M6 recognizes.
Enjoy

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWorks great in linux. Should be the same in windows. Just remember to change the output format to %album%artist.jpg all should be well.
Just load the music directly from the player.. in my cast i open folder '/media/usbdisk/music'
Reload pictures and viola!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou can configure the image size to any of the preconfigured sizes (powers of 2, as it seems).
As the album art on the Miniplayer screen is (I think) 80×80, you can choose 128×128 or 256×256.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have tested the software on both win32 and linux environments with success.
There are options to convert sizes accordingly. I'm happy to have shared this information to the community. Lord knows im a lazy SOB... so created the files manually wasn't going to fly..
This software is so user friendly... just follow the site watch the demo then download and experiment. If you ask me this should be a sticky.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsLook through the settings. you need to change the file output to this:
%(album)%(artist).jpg
I cannot confirm yet that just %(album).jpg files are working.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI loaded the /MUSIC folder in my program and chose 256x256 image dimensions and changed the file output to "%(album)%(artist).jpg". I then downloaded all the images for the respective albums. When I start the player I cant see any album art... is there any additional setting in the player I have to activate or how do you get it to work ?
(I have a Meizu M6 4Gb player SP ver.)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts1) Check which firmware version you have, is it the latest?
2) Check if you've made the "generic" output to %(album).jpg, not %(album).png (just type in .jpg instead of .png in the settings in the album cover art downloader).
(You can uncheck all the other output versions, but it won't do harm to leave them enabled.)
3) Check if the program has really written the .jpg files in the album folders. If not it has only downloaded a couple of options per album, and you have to manually pick a cover and click the "set as cover" button in the lower right corner, for each album.
I can confirm just %(album).jpg works, with latest firmware!Last edited by framboos; 04-08-2007 at 11:46 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMake sure that the songs don't have things like (Edited Version) or (Parental Advisory) things like that added to the album name... Might need to edit the tags in order to get the image to show. Try viewing the tag for the album and artist name using a id3 tag editor. Make sure the filename matches.
There are some occasions where the album art wont work due to differences in the names.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks for the replies, unfortunately my M6 player has been "infected" by the Windows Sync Function which means that in my explorer (Like My Computer) my M6 player is now regarded as a flash drive and thus cant be viewed in the Album Cover Art Download program...
... Does anyone know how to "convert" the M6 player into a drive type that the program can recognize
..
EDIT( I should add that I have the latest firmware update ver. S 2.002.3, also that the albums dont have any strange extensions like parental advisory et.c. on them, just the same name as the 1d3 tags).
thanks in advanceLast edited by KuroRyu; 04-08-2007 at 12:43 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have resolved my Album Art issue... the thing I misunderstood was the difference between id3 tag album name and folder Album name (for some strange reason I assumed they were the same)... I just opened the albums in Winamp and copied the Album name as it was in the id3 tag version to the pictures in the respective folders in my player and voila its working
. Long live Meizu !:D
