strange..
have you tried changing the contrast of the display ?
some people reported the eq is not viewable with wrong settings ...Inoffical MeizuFAQ : http://www.MeizuPlayer.info

if the backround blend level is to low, the eq isn't visible...
so try to increase it

Have you got Background Blend set to "0"?
Background Blend works in reverse for the Visualisation, the higher the setting the more visible it is. 0 will make it invisible.
