I upgraded to 2.002.3 without any problems (player will be formated so save your data!). You don't really get new functions but the batterie life shall be up to 30-36 hours (from 20-24 hours). Album Art is implemented but I don't use it. The graphical eq is nice but not a "must-have".

That's incredible, Hendrik! Battery life 30-36 hours???!!! That alone is worth the upgrade!
I will most definitely look into it.

Hendrik: After looking around, even at Meizu's Chinese website, I was not able to find any information on extending play time to 36 hours with the new firmware. Can you please provide more information? Thanks.

If I recall correctly, they mentioned the extended playing time when the first versions of the v2.000.0 series started. They stopped mentioning it, and started only mentioning what is new compared to the v2.000.0 version. (BTW, the first version from this version was v2.001.1)

Thanks, Hendrik, iversonjack, and IOtR, for your replies.

For those who have already upgraded to 2.002.3, did you notice an increase in play back time? As much as 36 hours?
