Missinformation

Just wanted to say that recently MeizuMe had become a wash with missinformation. There are loads of posts with new pictures, some of which are fake, some of which are real. There is also a load of half arsed information, some from reliable sources, some from unreliable souces, some just speculation.

We really need to clear this up. So far over the last few days I have read posts saying that the M8 will be released in August, September and October and maybe 2009. I have also seen loads of fan art and some what appear to be legit pictures. There has been misquotes and poor translations from Mr wong, as well as fake pictures of him holding the M8. There have been posts suggesting a time frame for the registration for beta testing. Then there has been people saying that certain people already have the phone. There have also been a load of external sources like engadget, pmp today and others talking all sorts of rubbish. This is getting ridiculous!

Can we please collate the relevent posts into one, and find out the actual truth about what is going on because this is so confusing!!!!!

This forum is starting to turn into the m8fans website filled with ps and false information instead of great discussions and facts.

Lock the m8 forum let only senior members post and admins. If any one has any "information" then pm admins.

i must admit that i do not really post on here much now at all and the M8 thing is the reason
I have never been interested in phones and so the M8 holds no interest to me, but every visit nowadays seems to be all about the M8

This situation has always been a mess, fan art, false promises, deadlines etc etc have followed the M8 form the beginning and now its just out of control, and the reason the other sites are getting it wrong is cause they are looking here as their source and, as you say, the articles are basically speculation and interpretation of events

But at the end of the day this is an open forum and the hot topic is the M8, how do you stop the flood of misinformation, everyone out there is desperate for the thing to arrive, me personally, i am still waiting for an M6 update!!!

i hope things calm down but i fear they wil not, but good call anyway

i know integrated phones are now THE thing, but i wish meizu had stuck to what they do best, make quality MP4 players and learnt more about firmware coding than studying phone technologies, but that is my gipe

Which are real??? I don't think that we have seen any real picture of a M8.

That's a real image of the M8. It was posed somewhere around here, I can't find it though.

It has been edited, but probably just to resize the image. The DV camera it was taken with was several megapixels.
