M.O.V.E. (My Own Video Encoder) : Video encoder GUI for PMPs on Linux

    Hi,

This new thread to report that a Video Encoder interface for Linux KDE exists also (and can work also under gnome if requirements are installed) :
    MeizuVideoEncoder.

3r3 version has just been uploaded on KDE-apps.org.

Let see what it is, here :
    Content KDE-Apps.org

Any download, install problem, or bug report are welcome

    Enjoy

I'm no bot, and I'm here to add this information : the new version of the MeizuVideoEncoder for Linux is called M.O.V.E (for "My Own Video Encoder").
It has the capability of managing encoding for the M6, but also for other pmp's and other purpose with profiling ability.
You will need to have the KDE 3.5.9 version installed (ubuntu 8.04 or higher for example).

Last version of this software is available here :
M.O.V.E. (My Own Video Encoder) KDE-Apps.org

I won't developp a version for KDE 4 while Kommander spinbox bug won't be fixed. So be patient... thank's

I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 with some parts of Kde. Under Ubuntu 8.04 i had no problems to install your previous AppMeizu Video Encoder. I upgraded Ubuntu to 8.10 and i could use your program farther.

Now i tried to install M.O.V.E and i get this: Install required root (administrator) rights.
./setup.sh: line 43: kdesu: command not found

And now, i can't install Meizu Video Encoder again under 8.10. You have an idea?

    I have installed

    kommander V.4:3.5.10
    regina-rex 3.3-5
    kdebase-bin 4:4.1.3
    mplayer 2:1.0~rc2

How i said, under Ubuntu 8.04 i had no problems to install Meizu Video Encoder with ./setup.sh. But now it isn't possible for me to install this app. Same error as i try to install M.O.V.E.

    PS sry bad english

I did change in line 43 from setup.sh kdesu to kdesudo and installing was possible.

In M.O.V.E. i can't use your profiles if i put them in kommanderrc, but own profiles to create with your gui are possible.

    Hi

Sorry, I'm not often connected on this forum. So it delays my answers.
If you need faster answers, please post them in KDE.apps.org directly.
For your question, I can only answer that this software doesn't work well with KDE4 (which seems to be what you have installed with Ubuntu 8.10). So if it works now, it's probably because you have some KDE3 parts installed (which is not surprising, I think for the moment, Ubuntu 8.10 is containing some KDE3 parts in order to keep working Kaffeine and Amarok which are not yet available for KDE4, for example)
Probably it's the same problem for the profile.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback and the kdesudo trick. I'll keep it in mind for next versions.

A "Nautilus Actions" pack has been added to the download file list

M.O.V.E. (My Own Video Encoder) KDE-Apps.org

So now you can launch M.O.V.E. from Nautilus/Gnome

So I put it straight back
