M3u List Manager
Found on Meizu chinese site a tool called M3uListManager. Here is an explanation to use it (from google translation of a Meizu BBS member):
Mini player unable to broadcast songs broadcast directories, which enable us to manage songs very inconvenient. Mini support m3u format can be broadcast songs list. So it becomes the best songs management with the management table songs, But under the End of each song had some re-editing table very inconvenient. This software is to help our small automatic management of the broadcast table, put it into the roots catalog mini, then music catalog by category assigned to the song catalog. End operating under the procedures of each song just click the button will automatically generated production about m3u broadcast table save us a lot of time and energy.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThat google translation doesn't make sense. Could you perhaps post the original thread and I can take a look and translate it myself? Thanks.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK. I have read the post, used the program, and here is what it does.
When you place a folder of music inside the MUSIC subfolder, miniplayer cannot recognise them as a "set" of music. Only if they have the same album name or artist name, then miniplayer can sort them inside the Music menu. The only way around this is to play music from browser mode, for some it is an annoying mode (like me). *to make this clearer, say if you have a bunch of songs for a party on your miniplayer inside a folder named "party", the only way to play them is by using the browser mode. miniplayer doesn't sort it out by categories inside the Music Menu.*
Now, what this little program does, is it creates M3U playlists inside the PLAYLIST subfolder in the miniplayer. The M3U playlists are sorted by the FOLDER NAME inside the MUSIC subfolder. Put this little program inside the root directory. Everytime you update new music, double click this program and click "start", and it will create M3U playlists of every music folder inside the Music subfolder.
Like the example above, if you used this program, all you need to do is go to playlist inside your miniplayer menu, and select the "Party" playlist. It will play all songs inside the party folder, hassle free!
I like this program a lot, so I suggest all to use it! I don't like browser mode that much. Hope this helps everyone!
PS: Album art works too, and you can place multiple album art in the same folder, and playlist will play the album art ^^ (remember album part name = album name)Last edited by iversonjack; 03-12-2007 at 02:04 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsUse the actual program. Double click the program when it is inside the root directory, and press start. It will create playlists that way. When you're done, click exit.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt doesn't say that its built for v2.00X or not. But it works with v2.002.3 firmware. Did you copy the program to the root directory, then double clicked?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe program itself said it doesn't matter. You can put it into the Root directory or the Playlist directory. But what I found out I had to do was to put all the songs into a folder for which you want a playlist to be created. Frustrating part is you can't create a On The Go List, cos you can pull songs from other folders... I just had to manually add a on the go list from the Music Card itself.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMusic Card? I'm not so sure this program works with Music Card. It says the program only works with the miniplayer.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIn A way it sort of does with what I stated previously, that would be how you would create a playlist.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK I have tried this with firmware v2.003.2 and it works. HOWEVER it does not support korean letters, so don't include any korean-named music, or else it won't even start the program - it'll just say "found korean word. program will terminate".
There is a new version of this m3u list manger, and you can download it from the attached file.
PS: I also tested if they have fixed the lag of playlists starting up, and this is my results:
50 songs in 1 playlist: 0.8-1 second respond time
100 songs in 1 playlist: 4.5-5 second respond time
Better then before I reckon... any thoughts?Last edited by iversonjack; 04-27-2007 at 06:26 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsJust use Winamp and drag the folder into the playlist, and save the M3U file. It's more versatile than this method, although slower. This little program is great for me since I have organized all my music into folders by GENRE. Heh heh heh...
