    No OGG playback!

My Meizu(fw 1.009, Tenzip mod) wont play any OGG files period..
If i try to upload them the player crashes at the "update disk"screeen and the only solution is to factory reset which makes me loose all my files..

    any fixes for this?

TP or SP? My SP with 1.009 plays ogg files without any problems.

its the "older" version...thats the TP right?
Using it with formware 1.009 Tenzip version
It not just that it wont play OGG files... the player instantly gets stuck when I even upload OGG files and it tries to update disk.

OGG doesnt even come near my Miniplayer anymore as i had to factory reset like 5 times before I figured out it were those OGG files that did it...

1.010 solves problems with OGGs. Some can be played normaly, on some there is a freeze.

I have the same problem - just freezes - gives the artist title etc, but just wont play - no sound no bar movement - I have to keep skipping forward until i get back onto mp3s. - I'm using 1.010 - this hasn't helped.

mine is worst... i cant even transfer OGG to my player. As soon as i disconnect the USB it gets stuck and all that works then is a factory reset... ill stay clear from OGG from now on...

I like OGG but unfortunatly it doesnt play on many players so from no on I only download or rip in MP3 so ill be sure it plays on any player

What tagging programs are you using for your ogg-files? I have a feeling it's something about the tags that make them unplayable.

    no progs
    I just use winamp...
All OGGs I download have perfect tags, never had a problem with them

and its not that the files wont play...they wont even upload...so i dont think its the tags right?

The thing is this. All of the ogg-files I've encoded myself works perfectly. The only ogg-files I have problem with are those that I've bought online. But.. here comes the interesting part.. If I remove all tags from the files I buy and then retag them with my tag-program(MP3BookHelper), they work like a charm.

If we could make a small database of working/not working ogg-files and where they come from, then maybe we could find the source of the evil ones

Wohoo, it's working! Have tried 8 songs from 7 different albums so far, both with my tags and with the online store tags, so I think that should settle it. Sweet :-)

    Thanks Error and Meizu!
