Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postssound coming through earphone port stuck on incredibly loud!
I am trying to find a way to fix my problem. I have a car charger that plugs into the port next to the cigarette lighter, supposed to be safe for ipods, mp3 players, I tried to charge the meizu m6 and it did not want to charge at all. I was away on a trip and when I got back home and plugged in my earphones I nearly had my eardrums blown out
by the hissing & static bursts. The music can still be heard but very soft in the background. I've tried other earphones and they seem better, less hiss and static, and my Akai i.sound speakers seem to be doing ok also, but still static and hiss and crackle. I am on the verge of cleaning out the discs but just have to download some software to be able to upgrade the resource file again afterwards. If anyone has a solution to the problem PLEASE HELP. Have I fried some of the circuitry inside?????
In reply to the original post, I have found that on some songs (the ones with bad original quality) there is a hiss, but on most not, so I'm sure it's not the player. (this was obviously when my meizu was still working properly...)

In the future, please only ask once per issue.
It could be a coincidence that your M6 broke at the same time as you used the car charger, but it does seem like the charger broke the M6.
What I think happened is that you may have received a computer virus that is residing inside of your .mp3 files. It shouldn't happen because of a car charger, since the M6 should regulate the flow of electricity.

Actually if the car charger is giving the M6 12 Volts, it could completely destroy the player, although I don't know about only the sound. Can a virus really get into a mp3 file? Even if it could, I don't think it changes the sound of it.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

I have seen viruses that use files with the .bmp extension, so mp3 files shouldn't be a problem.
