Good IEMs Under 20USD?
I hear (no pun intended) that the JVC Marshmallows are decent for their price. What I'm looking for is something that's under 20USD and offers deep bass, high treble, and just sounds good for its price range. I listen to, well, a little of everything which doesn't help a lot. The ones I use right now (iPod earbuds with Griffin in-ear adapter) sound really good, but they stick out too much and look odd. Then again, there's the Ety8's which look really weird.
Anyhow, do you guys have any good suggestions?

I think you've gotton the terms a little bit mixed up. Canalphones are not IEMs, and some people do use those terms interchangeably but are incorrect.
Canalphones tend to be cheaper than IEMs, have less isolative properties (due to the fact that they don't go into your ears as deep), and tend not to sound as good as IEMs.
Now in answering your question, I have never seen a "good" IEM for less than 20USD let alone any IEM for 20USD.
You may find cheap canalphones, although for 20 dollars, you would really only be getting what you pay for.
Current Rigs:
8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

Canalphones. Jeez they look basically the same. What I think IEMs are, are basically the high-end version of canalphones. My iPod earbuds with the in-ear adapters sounds pretty good, just that they stick out more than I would like.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsTry the Creative EP-630. They say it's basically identical to the Sennheiser CX300 but it costs much less. I also recommend it

I'll try out the Creatives at the store. Thanks for the suggestion!

I tried out the Sennheiser CX300's at the store, and they sound nearly the same as my current canalphones, but they are $30. I would like something a little cheaper, as I just want to update the look of the canalphones.

I would also recommend the Kanon MD-52's, but also like the DealExtreme In-Ear Earbuds. You can also refer to the "Best Earphone/Headphone/Speaker System Thread". Just search for it.

Yeah I already checked those out, the only problem is I have to order online. I might do that when I get back to Canada. I'm surprised that it's 3.94USD with free shipping. I wonder how it's possible for them to make a profit.

Trust me, they have their ways. Plus, If you actually think about how one of those is made, you wouldn't be so surmrised. The metal casing is probably $0.25, the wiring, and insulation is probably $0.50, the magnets probably $0.10, the plastic Diagphram $0.01, and the jack $0.75. If you add it up, it makes sense.

Any idea where to grab the Kanon MD-52's? They might be just rebranded, like the DealExtreme buds. I know Ebay is an option, but they are a tad pricey there. Any major retailer's selling them?

Thanked 5 Times in 2 PostsYup. Check this out:
Kanon MD-52 IEM Premium earphones
I can't find the worldwide shipping fee, but they are still just as cheap as futuredaps was.
Trust me, the dx ones are shit against these.
How are the alpha brainwavz compared to Kanon md52?
Note: dx also has some Kanon earphones. I bought most of them, they're all crap. Don't waste your money on them.

Thanked 5 Times in 2 PostsPS if you search for it in ecrater someone sells iPods with 8GB for $80... the person claims it's for establishing a good reputation but it could be nothing but a scam... I dunno much about ecrater though. There are also highi-end laptops for $800, which is definitely not serious.

A laptop of that specification would cost around $1200-$1500USD...
But the HP is pretty much the right price.
