One point: Get a hearing test before you buy your earphones, and then review them. Chances are, some people may have hearing loss and the same no high/low-range may be caused by hearing loss.
Really, there's usually no use for making reviews, because even if the majority of people hate it, maybe you'll still like it. Maybe even that dollar store pair of earphones were the best you've ever heard.
What I use right now is iPhone earbuds from my dad's iPhone (he can't use earbuds because they don't stay in his ear), paired with JBL iPod in ear adapters. Makes the earphones output MUCH more bass, and I don't have to turn the volume as high in loud places, from being 20 on the M6 to less than 10.
