Here's one that I used: JVC HAFX33B Marshmallow Soft Inner Ear Headphones. I got them at Circuit City for $10, now it's showing $15. Still good price.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIn general, I would say that the SONY MDR-EX71 produce a nice, insulated and bass-rich sound.
However, because the M6 is naturally base-heavy itself, the combination of the two is a bit too much. In fact, I had to go as far as turning down the bass under the Sound Setting. Now the sound is really good! Am I the only one?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsShure E3C are highly recommended! Very accurate sound, very moldable ( meaning you can go as low as you want to, or as high as you want ) quite comfortable, and if ya got some Shure's or any other IEM, try some Triple Flange's. I simply had to stop when I had bassboost at 8. It kinda killed me from the inside out, shaking my brain or something!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi Echo, I'm lookin to get the XB's as I tested the X3's and really liked its volume + clear and rich sounds but still found it a tad short of bass (which is really important to me), so I thought the XB's would perfect everything. Only thing is I didn't get a chance to test them yet. Now I've come across your comment and am dead curious to know why you find the XB's such a bad choice...look forward to your take. Thanks!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsDoes anyone know how the bass of the X3 compares to the classics? I currently have the classics (my wallet was a bit empty when I bought them), but I'm thinking about upgrading to the X3's or the XB's once this one breaks down or something. :P I however am very happy with the sound of the bass of my classics, but I'm afraid the bass on the X3's is cut to improve the overall quality.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks for your input Vizz, appreciate it! Yeah I'm lookin at XB due to its extended bass, just that from what I know, XB was out before X3 with its impressive sounds (XB=MylarTwo, X3=MylarThree), so I'll be testing the XB alongside X3 again before the purchase, just to be sure that the sound quality of all else (besides bass) don't fall too short of X3's. It IS comforting to read that there are people who choose XB over X3.
Still looking forward to the feedback from Echo, need to find out why he found XB that bad...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsmfb, I've not had the chance to personally audition both the classics and X3, but this article here might give you a base for comparison...

Also, I've been reading everywhere that some Crossroads users like to replace their stock tips with Ultimate Ears tips or Shure tips, to provide better noise isolation + add that oomph to the bass. Hope the info is useful.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHere is the comment of a member in Head-Fi.. named kramer5150.. about the comparison between X3 and XB..
here is the source: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...ighlight=mylarThats basically it... the X3 is more balanced... not as bassy. So it reveals more midrange / treble detail as a result. Although I wouldn't consider the XB over-bassy, IMHO it doesn't quite overflow all over the place like the FX33 or a poorly amped DT770. Although with a muddy amp, like the PA2V2, its bass gets a little out of hand IMHO.
on that note, both cans are at their best when plugged into speedy and detail revealing amps/sources.
IMHO the physical construction of the XB is better. It has more metal/aluminum, while the X3 is all plastic, except for the thin metal piece. IMHO they should put the X3 driver in the XB enclosure.
any more information plz refer to:

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI find my m6 hisses too much with my vsonic vs-r02s (impedance ~20 ohms). And since I listen at low volumes (>10) since that's why I got canalphones, it gets pretty annoying. The hiss for me is constant at all volumes.
Go for canalphones with at least 30ish ohms of impedance.
