    Distortion in .wavs?

I ripped Radiohead's In Rainbows as uncompressed .wav files using EAC and copied and pasted it from my hard drive to my SL. When listening to 15 Steps, I noticed that there was some distortion at some parts of the song that didn't sound right. When I put the CD into my Walkman D-NE710, the distortion was gone. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the files, the Meizu, or it's compatibility with them. I'll try re-ripping the CD into .wavs and 320 kbit/s mp3's to see if there is a difference.
This is all through my KSC-75's straight into the player. I have dropped the SL a couple of times at around heights of 3 feet, but I always had my silicon case around it; now I use a plastic case along with the silicon.

Maybe the ripping process is to blame. Although modern CD/DVD drives use internal read error correction some CDs are still read incorrectly (mostly because of scratches).

That's when EAC Secure ripping mode kicks in. :D

Yes. Also, you need a drive that can rip properly, i recommend a Teac CD-540E or CD-W552G if you can get hold of one of those, or a Lite-On drive if you want it to read/write DVDs too, as Plextors are too expensive and aren't that good.

Your average LG drive will have errors slipping through even with EAC's secure mode.

My disc isn't scratched, I ripped it the day I bought it. When EAC checked the ripped .wav's to the ones on the disc, there was only .01% for 2 tracks, so I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with my drive, which is built into my computer. I've made DVD's and CD's with this drive, and everything always turned out perfectly fine. With my 320 kbit/s mp3's, the annoying buzz/distortion in the tracks is gone. I love my Meizu as it is, but I hope that they fix this in the next firmware update.

You may consider ripping to FLAC, which is still lossless but saves quite some space in the process.

Also, if you are using equalisers, spatialiser or bass boost, i would suggest turning them off and hearing the result.
