    earphone recommendations

    Hi there

Iv already read the article about the d-jays earphones, but Id like to get some other recommendations or warnings for earphones as well.

Im usin, or better used, the Sony MDR-EX71 and was quite satisfied with them (they were the only in-ear-earphones I could find at that time). But short befor New Year the outer rubber layer of the cable broke in more than 2 places.

They still work but its just a question of time until they wont any more.
Luckily Sony seems to have realised this and released new ones with a thicker protective cable.

So what are your "favourite" headphones or recommendations for them?

    Maybe V Moda Vibe Earphone?
I have read some good recommedations.
Price is 69.45 € with free shipping from USA (eBay).
They look a little stylish ... but sound seems to be good.
Shure will launch some new earphones in February ... SE210, SE310 ...
Looking forward to read first tests.

Bying on e-bay is not recommended unless you know they are reliable and have good recommendations from its byers.

Well they look authentic what you can see from the picture and the link you gave me.
I trust this seller. He has over 41000 recommendations and PowerSeller status. I'll see when they arrive and I can still send them back If they aren't genuine.
    Thank you anyway!

Well, the sound that is what counts. If it hasn't a powefull base its fake for shure, but when it has, you got it for a very, very cheap price. Over here they don't sell it under € 40,00 post and packedging included.

I can recommend a few, but depends on what your taste in music is.

ie. What genre of music do you listen to?
What specific attributes do you like in music? (eg. do you like lots of bass, lots of detail? etc etc.)

Otherwise if you want a blind recommendation from me, i'll recommend the Triple.fi UE10, the Shure E500 or Westone UM2 =D

btw, I think you've posted this thread in the wrong section of the forums. Should be in "Audio".
    Current Rigs:
    8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
    4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
    2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
    8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

I was thinkin bout postin in audio, but as the other earphones test is in this section as well and the stuff in audio is more technical related to the meizu I thought here might be better ... and I was a bit unsure, cause ive hardly any forum-experience ... exept a bit of common sense

@Blackstar: As for recommendations I was more askin in general for everyone than just for me. But lookin at the tips I got here and the quality-price relation I now know at least, where I have to ask if Im lookin for myself.

I've gone for these on the recommendation of a couple of different people.

Amazon currently have them here in the UK for £17.97 (inc delivery) :D I can't see Amazon selling dodgy ones...... can you ?

I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes. Please go to Head-fi. There's a world of audio that most of you have probably never heard before.

You haven't really heard your music until you hear it from a Orpheus, Audio Technica L3000, AKG K701, Grado RS-1 or a Stax Omega II.
