Radio & Equalizer - Virtual 3D

When I play the radio it's seems that the equalizer and the virtual 3d doesn't work anymore, is it normal ?

I found the volume lower than when I listen to mp3...

i'm not sure about the equalizer and virtual 3d but as for the volume, yes, radio volume is lower than music.

i generally listen to music at volume 15 while for radio, i go up to 25 or 30.

The equalizer and virtual 3d in the M6 and other MP3 players is software based, meaning that the CPU alters the digital audio as its being played to produce the desired sound affect. The FM Radio is an analogue device, so the audio coming from the FM decoder chip is routerd straight to the audio amplifier bypassing the audio affects. For the equalizer and virtual 3d to work on FM the M6 would have to encode the audio, apply the sound affects and then decode it again.

Technically, you could apply those effects in real-time, but it'd take more than the M6's tiny sound processing chip to do it.
