    [Solved] ID3 Display

Just bought myself a Miniplayer SP and it wont display the ID3 Tags properly.

The tracks are all ripped from CDs using iTunes 7.0.2.16 with proper track listings (the reason why i use iTunes, it can find track titles for japanese/korean/chinese CDs)

When transferrred onto the miniplayer, all that is displayed is the file name.

    Note: tracks are in korean.

Any help would be good. (mediamonkey is of no help as it displays ??? instead of proper track name --> dont think it supports hangul)

There could be two reasons that the M6 does not show up your Korean tags:
    1. iTunes has saved the tags in unicode
    2. iTunes is using an older version ID3 tag -> Id3v2.2 instead of the most used Id3v2.3
You should try FW from Emgeton ->

    arrgh, this is getting frustrating.

Upgraded to FW from Emgeton, but still doesnt fix the problem, still not displaying korean text, just ?????

yet the tracks that werent ripped with iTunes work fine.

    ID3 is v2.3 as well!

think i might have to re-encode my tracks without iTunes and rename the lot manually

Miniplayer do display unicode tag !
I have a lot of japanese's tag or chinese's tag mp3 and miniplayer displays them very well.
All you have to do is to change via iTunes the ID3 tag to v2.3 by right-clicking the tunes => convert ID3 tag => 2.3. After that, retransfer them on your miniplayer and it should work ~

If it really don't work, try this software and tags them manually ~ http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
