The ER-4P have lots of resolution and detail, but the bass was a little thin for my tastes, which made it seem a little off balance, but they are great for the price you pay.

The TF10 on the other hand have much more bass and a much wider soundstage (widest of any IEM i have ever heard so far) so the TF10 sounds less fatiguing and more enjoyable than the ER-4P in many ways, although does cost more.

Some people on head-fi actually don't buy so many earphones and headphones like me though. They might buy something, get experience on that. Sell it off then buy another high end earphone etc etc. The process is repeated till they get something they are happy with. A variety of methods to try a large range of phones'.

Either way, certainly looking forward to your thread on high end earphones good luck with it!
Thanks a lot
Yes I know the ER-4P might be a bit shy on bass but many of my In-canal phones is for me a bit too bassy,
I was thinking that the bass boost and EQ on my M6 might be able to solve it in that case but I don't own them, in that I don't know.

Well the meizu m6 alone cannot harness the full potential of the ER-4P. After you do decide to get them , I recommend getting the P-S adaptor for your ER-4 and then getting a portable amplifier, you'll really bring out the details and bass of the ER-4. Then you can get the UE11

Koss headphones are the best.

I have heard alot of headphones before, and hands down my favorite are Koss headphones. I have bought some that cost about $5.00 that have beat out my old sonys that cost like $50.00.

Hi,
I read that you are busy right now, so would it be terribly cheeky of me to ask you to help me a bit.
Since you do have more experience in this^^;
Could you tell me the difference between sennheiser PX100's and PX200's?
And did you ever try AKG K450's or AKG K416's ?? ;_; im planing on buying some of those but im not sure yet wich ones.

Though they don't get much good publicity online (for whatever reason), Skullcandy in-ear earbuds ar the best I've ever experienced, and don't top $20 anywhere that I've seen...

I've had a pretty brief experience with Skullcandy's on my friend's iPod touch 2G. I wasn't impressed, and since he buys the songs from iTunes, it can't be the encoding quality. I think if I tried them on my M6 and tuned the EQ to them, they'd probably sound a lot better.

My experience with Skullcandys are the Bass is good, but overwhelming, and Mids and Highs are just drowned out, and aren't even good at that. However, if you only care about Bass (ie Hip/Hop, Rap listeners), then they are a good choice.

what would you say are the best overall (under $20, of course)? I heard Koss brands are hella good, but I've never seen them in-store anywhere...

For $25 you can get a SoundMagic PL-30. They are the best canalphones/iems I have tried in that price range. It is more analytical though, which means all the frequencies are balanced, neither one is louder or more pronounced than another, and a very detailed, clear, 3 dimensional sound (You can pick out individual instruments, vocals, etc and "examine them"). One word of note though, Bass is not strong at all (quantity wise), but is detailed and punchy. You can always EQ it though. I find myself using the M6's Bass Boost with the PL-30s, more than other headphones. The PL-30 really shines with some EQing.

Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod 4G Monochrome 20GB, iPod Video 5G 80GB, iPod Photo 30GB, iPod Touch 1G 8GB, Sandisk Sansa m240 2GB, Thompson TMS T-F10E 256MB, and no, I'm not an Apple Fanboy (I merely like fixing electronics, and iPods being the most readily available...). If you could get all the iPods that I own for $100 would'nt you go for it?
Headphones: Orange Metallic In-Ear headphones, Targus ANC Headphones, Bose QC1 Headphones, SoundMagic PL-30s, and Kanon MD-52s.
Current Audio Congifuration: Meizu M6 + Fiio E5 -> Bose QC1/SoundMagic PL-30

Another vote for PL30 here. Still slightly out of your price range of cause. You won't find any much good below 20 bucks.

They look interesting, a more compact design where the nozzle doesnt protrude as much.

I can't tell you what is "better" everyone has a different definition of good sounding audio. However you can make a start on asking yourself what type of music you listen to and what you prefer in music.

In general:

All rounder -> Super.fi.3, Mylar3 (Super.fi.3 is significantly more durable)

Treble -> Either CK7 or ER6i (I recommend to CK7 over the er6i as I find the CK7 to be more balanced than the ER6i ie. it has more bass and a lush midrange whilst retaining high end resolution)

Bass -> I wouldnt consider either of those canalphones/iems as bassy, but from that list choose anything besides the er6.

Could u pls recommend a really good headphone/headset for Iphone.... I'm thinking of getting the Klipsch Image S4i...Thanks

NOTHING MORE THAN $150

The SoundMAGIC MP21 is a pretty good iem that fit into all three categories. They got build-in mic. One option out there.
