I just received my MylarOne XB today, and heres what I think of it.
Ok, with the negatives first:
Extremely shit packaging. It was one small red box which read Crossroads MylarOne XB, that was all, it didn't give specs or anything.
Open the box up, you find the red circular case which has everything inside:
Earphone, "cheap" back ear buds, the piece of "cheap" plastic which is used to curl the wire.
For something which cost $65 USD, it isn't very impressive.
The black ear buds it came with are cheap, soft, and does a poor job of sound isolation.
What I ended up doing is using my clear ear buds from my V-Moda Bass Freqs.
Even using my Bass Freq ear buds, it still did not give a tight fit as the Bass Freqs did and does not isolate a much sound as well.
In terms of sound quality, it is definitely on par with my Bass Freqs, they both provide same richness of deep bass except the XBs had a slightly louder volume.
So take it from me guys, if you want better isolation, better ear buds, and the same sound quality of the XB you better get yourself a pair of Bass Freqs

5.EB? That doesnt sound good. Too much bass bloat and not enough treble and detail. The bass of the EB masks much of the spectrum. SF.5.pro is a much better choice.
Current Rigs:
8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have been using the Crossroads MylarOne x3 with the UE medium ear types, and for 56USD, I can't be more happy, even if they really look like some 2.5USD crappy phones.
I never tried the XB one's though, but some people say that the x3 are better.
Anyway, there is a IEM comparison table done by the user dfkt from Head-fi.org:

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't think some of those are accurate.
I used to have a pair of CX-300s, and the bass on them is not as powerful or good as people put them, like I've said many times Koss Sparkplugs, V-Moda Bass Freqs and MylarOne XB is better than the CX-300s.

if the CX300's are anything like the EP630, then yes they are crap. I have the ep630.. and by goly, bloated bass, no detail.. treble and veiled and when there is treble it comes out all sibilant. My EP-630 is genuine too!
But i guess everyone has different standards, if you've upgraded from ibuds.. they might be a bit of an improvement, but when you listen to something like the CK7 and go back to the EP-630, you'll realise what it's missing. :DCurrent Rigs:

Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsComparing the sound quality of the V-MODA Bass Freq to the MylarOne XB is tantamount to comparing a KIA RIO to an AUDI RS4.
They both serve similar functions, but the execution couldn't be more different!
