Song length jumping! Help me out, I'm pissed!

    Hey guys!
Bought a M6 one week ago.
Put it full of music and started some practical work now.
When I went by train I first noticed the player had some problems with some samplers I wanted to listen to. Any of the tracks (occurs with about 4 different samplers!! (80tracks)) can be listened to but the song length is jumping around.. During listening, everytime the screen refreshes the length changes. 5:15left, 3.17left, 4.24left etc. for example. Tracks changing some time in the middle of it because the time left is jumping down to 0:00.

Maybe the player has some probblems with varying bitrates of mp3 files?!

This is totally annoying! I bought the M6 to listen to my fav. music, not to have many problems..!

Again: It occures not with every mp3 file on the player, only on some!

Hate it! If this can't get fixed I'll return the player and get some Cowon D2..!

    bye, Tobi

Specs: 4GB Meizu M6 SP version (Firmware: New new 2.003.2)

I've also seen that with my M6. I only have it with 3 songs, but it's only with newer firmwares. I don't have any solution yet.

I dont have that problem myself on the M6
however, I do have the problem with a few songs in Winamp, etc.
I think it has something to do withthe waythe song was encoded as since i started downloading music from another source I never had the problem again

This has been noted by many , it only occurs on a few VBR mp3, Songs encoded using VBR from emusic and other reliable sources play fine, I thing it may be a very early version of VBR encoding software which may not be fully compatible with the VBR standard.

Best solution is to replace the songs with fresh rip or redownload.
Hopefully Meizu will also improve there firmware to be more accurate in playing VBR mp3's
