M6 V2.000.1 Firmware Beta Testing Discussion

This thread is primarily for testers of the new V2000.1 firmware, but input from members are also welcome.

So far, I have only tested it for a few minutes, but here come my first impressions.
  1. There are two new folders: RECORD and PLAYLISTS.
  2. Can select the mode of the player: MTP or MSC.
  3. Slightly choppier overall firmware performance.
Nothing can be said about battery yet, but I really hope it can live up to the expectations!

Sorry, this is a closed beta test. If you didn't have the opportunity to sign up earlier you will have to wait for the final version.

1) Add MTP/DRM10 support.
2) Extend music playback to 36 hours (under mode of SP/MP3/160Kbps/EQ Off/Spatializer Off).
3) Add WMA Lossless support.
4) Improve crash/death problem after stop of FM recording.

There are problems with folders. Music files inside folders will not play, instead they must be in the root of the MUSIC folder to work.

@ rainycity - I've tested, it does not play APE.

@ Lolita - No, can't be seen in this version.

like error said, i think the confidentiality provision is restricting the distribution/sharing of the beta firmware. it doesn't say that testers can't talk about it. there's really no harm in talking about it, i think. because it's still the beta, there's no guarantee that the final firmware to be released will have exactly the same features as the beta, right. meizu could add/remove stuff until the final release.
