There are a number of factors that pop out straight away and then others that come out after a longer and closer look. I will use the first picture as an example:
Firstly when advertising you need to use colours which compliment and not conflict. The colours used in the logos[designed by eico] are very nice and work well together. The colour of the background conflicts with some of these logos and other added logos also. If this was professional, all colours would sit well together and not conflict the way they do.
You may say well it could have been added by a user if this is a beta modal. Yes it could have so I will comment further.
The buttons associated with the message are very badly done. These are the read[green button] and back/read later[red/orange] button. The person who designed these either wanted to add a glossy style and didn't know how, or wanted shadows and made a mess. It's just not pretty.
Another obvious fault are the main icons. As you can see, the user just got these from the net and tried to cut around them(more than likely in photoshop using the lasso tool). The edges are not smooth but rather they are bumpy from not being cropped properly.
Other faults that may not seem obvious or important are things like mis-aligned icons or graphics[time], or the message icon on the bottom right corner. the triangle shape is not positioned properly with the bubble part of the icon. the bubble part has rough edges from a back cut. There are different colours used as outer glows for different things that don't go well together.
There are many more but I think you get the picture.
