white flashes - DFU server not detected

so i lost my meizu m6 for about a year and finally found it. It doesn't power on, but when I push the power button it flashes for a split second. All the reset options and DFU hold M and Power don't work. I've also tried charging it through an AC charger overnight.

Any ideas?

Does it turn on, or is all it does flash? Are you able to connect it to your computer normally? If you can, just get some new firmware files and drag them into your player, and restart your player. If not, carefully read the DFU Tools thread. Make sure your M and Power buttons are held down firmly throughout the process, Do Not let go of them.

it does not turn on at all. Can not connect to computer normally. Have used DFU tools before i lost it and have successfully recovered it before, but it does not detect anything at all when the M and Power buttons are held down completely now. Windows doesn't detect anything at all when it is being plugged in, with or without M and Power

I have the same problem

with my M6-SP for few months now. I try to read discussions on DFU tools for a month, try it several times, no-use.

My M6-SP turn to white flashing after a month that I purchased. I tried every thing, hard/soft reset or reformat for a few minutes firmly. My Xp laptop still can't find the device. (I do make sure that my fingers are pressed firm on the on and >> button all the time that connecting to the laptop)

I think it is dead now. Can someone send me the service center information please?

I bought it in March of this year from buy.com. How long is the warrantee?

thx for your help.

It's "M" and "Power" to go into DFU mode.

Come on, this is what you're doing wrong. You connect it to the computer whilst holding "POWER" and "M".

Yes, the DFU window is supposed to come up. That is right. You SHOULD NOT be able to see the device in My Computer in DFU mode. You have to download DFU Tools, put the firmware in the root of the DFU Directory, and use DFU Tools to put the firmware into your player.

Try to not get aggrivated towards new members, I'm sure they don't know any better. I sure didn't...

Try to be less harsh in terms of tone., and plus, they even said it was a typo, they actually did hold down the M and Power, but typed it as >>.

As mbarry noted, I did all that just miss type it. Still no device detected on the DFU window, not on My Computer.

If I understand correctly, if the device can't be found, the DFU tool is not able to update the firmware, meaning the device is dead. Please confirm it. -thanks,

perhaps you could try it on a different usb port, or even a different pc.
Doesn't windows vista have a driver for the DFU device built in?

Yeah, doesn't work for me though. Try returning your player, or exchanging one.

I have same problem. It is flashing a split second if I press the button very short (like click the mouse) but if I press the button for ~1 second, it is opening normally. Also, it keeps flashing if I click the button a few times. For example, 1 click - 1 flash, 2c-2f, 3c-3f, 4c-4f...

Is there any solution for this? Or should I send it to service while it is working fine..

Sorry for English ♦)

After forum search I found this:

"This means, that battery is charged. If not, there is no flashing. It is only for your needs."

what does the white flash mean?

Hmm, I am not sure about that.. I did not like that flashing.

The flashing is normal. The player needs about 3 seconds of the button push to turn on.
