world2002traveler. I need more information. What do you mean by the "face" of the mp3 player? You mean the screen? The plastic/metal surrounding the screen? Or maybe the whole entire front face? If it's just the display screen, you can use Displex!

Displex is display polish that comes in a small tube. It works kind of like that Brasso stuff that Steve showed you. I think it dissolves the screen material and actually fills in the scratches on your screen. Here is a link to their web page: Displex - HOME
Also, you can view their site in different languages.
You should be able to find it online with ease. There are many auctions on eBay selling Displex for about $8.00 USD.

Wait! It just hit me! Alright, after you use Displex to remove the scratches from your screen, you should definitely invest in a screen protector, or else your device will just end up scratched again. I recommend The Invisible Shield to you. I use it for my cell phone, all 3 of my PSPs, my Sony CyberShot...yeah, you get the idea. The material they use to make the their protectors is the same material the army uses to protect their helicopter blades. The shields come with a lifetime warranty so if it ever gets dirty, you can send it back to them and they will replace it for free.

What kind of mp3 player are you talking about anyway? If it happens to be the Meizu M6SL, here is a link to their shield made specifically to fit its screen:

Jk, Steve, if you guys have time, check out their website and the videos they have on there. You guys might see something you like :P. All I can say is they have worked for me. As for the price...yes, they're quite pricey! I think it cost me around $20 USD to buy a full body protector for my PSP.

lol, I love how Displex PSed the "scratched" Sony Ericsson so much, that even the earpiece is scratched...

Anyways, the iPhone 3G does not appear to be covered in anything, but how do we know that it's not an actual super-coating? The selling point of these protectors for me would be if they weren't a fingerprint magnet... Otherwise body protectors just make it worse.

What would even be the point? I think helicopter blades need to be reliable enough to be able to handle stress on their own.

No it is to protect helicopter blades from small dings, which affect the lift (Think Aerodynamics).

@WT Try Polywatch. You can find it on eBay for around $5, and in my book, it is the best one to get if you aren't willing to spend a fortune on RadTech's Ice Creme, which is absoloutly the best money can buy.

@JkPwNsTeR The iPhone 3G is definetly covered in some sort of scratch resistant coating. You guys probably all know that the screen is made from some sort of hardened glass, so that is out of the question. The back is pretty scratch resistant, trust me, I tried it on a display in the Apple store. It does not scratch easily. I tried rubbing it hard on the table, and nothing happened. I tried with the edge of a paperclip, nothing. I tried very hard with a pin, and alas, a thin hairline scratch appeared.

Here are some pictures of the Invisible Shield on my phone. You guys can be the judges. It's a pretty good investment because it keeps my stuff in top shape. Great for Meizu M6 imo.

This shows the shield covering the glass front of my phone. It's not very noticeable. People tell me all the time that they can't believe I have a protector on their. There are shields on the inside of the phone as well, but you can't see those. That yellow/orange picture you see is actually a reflection of a wall scroll I have in my room. Sorry about that.
