Nobody can say the real phone is not 3 circle design ,for nobody have seen the real one ,J.W put the one is not the sell one,it just his own。perhaps, the real one still is 3 circle design……
I think 2008.08.20,we will see the real M8……

Sorry man, no offense, but... you're kidding yourself. The iPhone has thousands of developers making programs for it, even small designers like zodttd have forked up the $99 to get a chance to be in the appstore... and I think I would pay that!
And to big companies like sega $99 is neither here nor there. So no, no way are there going to be more M8 SDK developers. But at least it will give homebrew a better chance, with no fee. :D
But then again, jailbreak is still going strong on iPhone, which is homebrew... so both phones are covered I guess.

I don't think there will be more developers for the M8, Apple has done a good job with their marketing team to brainwash people, so the M8 will never have as many developers as the iPhone. But I do believe that the M8 will have many programs and a lot of developers.

if the m8 wil run windows mobile applications we should be fine with available programs,
i read somwhere that they are working on a symbian emulator(nokia os) for windows mobile, this means we could perhaps run all of those applications and games also on our m8!
I guess only the future will tell if this is going to work or not.

Yes, indeed.
The more open-source the M8 is... the more successful it will be.
I prefer to spend my money on freedom (M8) rather than captivity (iPhone).

Anyway, the M8 is looking good!

Well, just to add my own little thinking to the topic - I did prefer the 3 button design, but provided the UI's well made and hopefully more or less controllable in-pocket, I'm more than happy with the current design to. I personally dun give a bump about if anyone would wanna compare it to the iPhone because 1: I wouldn't walk with it out on the street, I'm not some idiotic showoff-kid and 2: If whoever would be around and see it in my hand would most probably quite soon guess that it's one great thing. Plus the iPhone's not very spread around at Hungary, it's sooo much more expensive than it's worth that it's tragical.
I did look at the i900 Omnia, however the lack of audio quality (this is the BIG point at the M8 for me) and the much worse screen quality do make me not really like that phone.
iPhone doesn't even come to topic for me because I wouldn't ever install iTunes on my computer. I'm an order freak and can't put on two software to do what I want, and well... Winamp.
As for what Steve said about developers... If I do get an M8 after all, and I get time enough, I'll do some work for the M8 almost certainly. (although we get Opera, MSN... Not much more will be needed!)

Yea, I wouldn't care if people compared it to the iPhone either. A lot of people refer to most MP3 players as an iPod.

That is over in the US you mean
iPods aren't spread around here very much because of the huge price, hehehe. I'm guessing that might be the case around most of the world too

on the ´´more developers for the M8´´point,
I dont think thats really important, iff indeed it runs on a Ce based os,
It will not be that difficult to make / modify / port apps to the m8,
personaly i think this is a big advantage for this device.

Comparing the iphone vs the m8 is also not realistic.
Apple has set the new standard for mobile phone by opening the bigger touch screen part. So You can compare it only on features (3g wifi, camera,..), standby time, etc all technical spec´s. On that base the M8 is better cause it is cheaper with more then iphone.
But the thing that makes or brakes this phone will be the enthousiasm of people on a software based issue.

according the current spec´s this phone has something mystic on it that could open a world to more multimedia on the go,
Iff only it would come out ..

I just got a reply back from meizu, now the say q4 for launch date, and when i mailed them 2 weeks ago they said q3...

iff it isnt been launched before q4 i´m sure it will die quitely.

ps sorry for bad english

Yeah, iPods are expensive here in Mainland China (300USD=80GB 571USD=8GBtouch), more expensive than North America, and the average Chinese family's income over here is not very high, so, yeah...

Meizu is even considered being expensive in China, it's a brand name product over here. Plus, a Newman iPod Touch knockoff i saw was just shy of 60USD.
