meizu m6 vs sony nwz-a728???

hey guys.

im new here and im seriously contemplating buying a meizu m6 or m3 off of ebay. i already own the new 80gb zune so im looking for something smaller and music friendly. my question is this: since the meizu has been out for awhile is it still competitive in the market? for those of you who have owned yours for awhile, how is the reliability and overall satisfaction? and would i be better off spending a little more money for a newer player such as the sony which has better battery life? all comments and opinions are appreciated!

I would have to say get the sony, the m6 has too many bugs in my view
Its a shame as the interface is so good, i also reckon my creative zen v sounds better.

thanks. thats my main concern- the fact that its difficult and expensive to find a reliable seller in the us. oh well ive always wanted an m6 but it just doesnt seem practical, especially since the other companies in the market have caught up both price and feature wise

I totally disagree with you and I believe your wrong. I've owned my m6 since August of last year (coming close to a complete year) I've never updated the firmware EVER and I've personally had no problems what-so-ever. As for buying a new sony, I've never used it but if i would recommend a player it would defiently be a cowon D2 idk ppl don't mention this player but its probably one of the top if not the best players around.

You cannot tell me the M6 is bug free, here are some common and very poor bugs im pretty sure the sony wouldn't suffer with these!

- Stuttering MP3 at the end of tracks, just look at the amount of people saying about this problem for ages and meizu have done nothing about it!
- Tracks orders wrong when over 9 tracks using wmp sync, napster etc (yeah i could copy the files other ways but you really shouldnt have to)
- Stupid automatic libary update, even if you just charge the player up it runs it.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that wants a good out of the box player, thats just my view tho.
The m6 is a great looking device and is solid feeling im sure it will last

Been using my M6 for nearly 2 years now
got stuck a few times cause i uploaded faulty files. sucks when you have to recover your player but its always fixable.
If youre looking for a foolproof player on "not work, me no understand, me loose interest" level the M6 is not for you. Its not as stable as the creative or apple players but it still is very stabile(not to mention has kick ass sound )

thanks a ton! im not a newbie with mp3 players but im not quite and expert yet. i know quite a lot about the hardware, features, and compatibility, but am admittedly shakey on software updates and things of that nature. thanks again.

1. never had stuttering problems ever maybe its just me but 320kbps lossless flac songs and albums never had a problem (thats all I use so IDK what you run)
2. I use mediamonkey which is better IMHO so no problems there....
3. library update doesn't bother me and theres a fix or the forum so no complaint

As for build quality I agree with you it is a very durable player I've dropped it twice and haven't had a problem did leave a small scratch but thats expected
