I own both of these. The sound is good but it lacks the highs I guess, and the bass is a little bit muddy. I tried to play with the EQ and achieved some good results. I think I'm gonna switch to Sansa Fuze someday because it's a warmer player and probably works better with IEM's. I also read that Meizu M6 is not a very good source for such earphones.

^ you have a link to that?
right out of the box the player was a bit funny sounding till you get to the settings, i turned everything (including enhancements) flat then adjusted from there. i did very little in tweaks and it sounds as good as my harmon kardon... with these cans;
shure se310 < these are good iem's
sennheiser 545 < these are full size cans

point being the player itself is VERY adjustable and probally make any earspeakers sound good and good earspeakers sound great.

you right in that the player makes any earphone sounding better. The EQ is like the key for better sound. Every time I put on of my IEM’s in my M6 they always do a much better job. It must be my EQ settings.
There is several people around here who prefer Super.fi 3 studio but I think they might do have some limits at highs and lows. Still they great in that pricerange.
If you like to spend more money you can try look on its big brother: Super.fi 5 Pro. They very similar but do a better job on sound.

It's just my opinion, I wrote that the overall sound quality is good. These SE310 have 2 drivers don't they??

no, the se310s are a single driver unless you count ears, then its two like me.
the se530s have three drivers; 430s have two per ear piece.

i'd still like to see a bad review of the m6. maybe steve jobs wrote it? when i first opened my sl i plugged in the shures and i thought there was something wrong, the default settings were way overblown. i don't have any experience with players other than creative, a 5gb zen and a 4bg zenV plus. the sound is good with the zen: signal to noise wise but the amp is underpowered. you'd need really efficient phones to get good dynamic range. trust me, the meizu wins the quality comparison hands down. the adjustabilty is just the icing on a very tasty cake!

it's kind of a shame that you really can't demo iem phones. like most people you can only go by reviews. amazon is usually a good place to start as is newegg and headphone.com.
