Meh, it could be faked. Until we get some clear, high-resolution shots, the image cannot be confirmed.
EDIT: And why does the title say: PS J.wong? Maybe for Photoshop?
EDIT II:
Compare the two. The one on the bottom is non-functional, the one on the top cannot be trusted until I get my hands on the original image and see the properties of it (Origin, owner, camera, etc.)

Seriously, "Why so serious?" Just lighten up... Relax... And it's a signature, if you've never used a forum before. And also, remember that we can't confirm anything. With my experience of Google Chinese to English translator, it isn't even close to a good result (I have Chinese friends)

BTW, the two links you posted are the same picture, just of different compression, resolution, and orientation. Look: the battery meters are the same... Coincidence? I think not.

This is the original file. I checked its properties, and although the picture originates from a SONY Cybershot DCR-SR300E, it has been altered by ACD Systems something (it's a mess of symbols, my computer can't decode Chinese)
Suspicious.

I am hoping that is not real. It looks too much like the itouch/iphone.
1 main button, centered at the bottom.
ear hole shape is not the 3 holes like we thought but is reverted back to i same as apples.
I think it is faked....hopefully

Looks real, but who knows...yeah the exif shows a sony camera, but there are programs to edit that... Let's just wait if there's any more pictures.

Actually, you don't need any programs to change that information, Windows Explorer works fine. Here's an actual picture of my laptop's glossy LCD, which is similar to an iPhone's:
It looks quite similar to the one found on the picture, so there may be some hope.

Hmm... But still, the dummy phone's looks alike to that as well... Until they have a video demonstrating it, there is no proof that the M8 actually exists.

I don't think the UI looks like the iPhone at all... but if you mean just the casing (physical looks) then yes, with 1 single button and that ear hole shape, it does look a bit more like the iPhone and the iTouch (to which it was already too resembling).
Anyway, I liked the previous 3 glossy buttons + 3 hole ear-hole shape version much more (as long as the mass-production process would really make the buttons more perfect than on the CeBIT prototype like JW said at the time).
Also, I'm not too pleased with the way the UI is going. While the older one was too dull and gray, this one is getting way too colorful/saturated and dark. And I think it looks tiring. IMO, it even ends up on the losing end in that side by side comparison of the M8 and iPhone music players. Why all that blue??

Well, there's just something about a blue glow that attracts human eyes... Why do you think so many consumer electronics come with blue LEDs?

Yeah, I know.. I like blue too.. but this audio player has too much of it and there's way too much colour saturation overall, so it gets tiring IMO. A grey background wouldn't harm, for example.
Also, I think they should keep the menu colours consistent across the whole UI, which is not really the case comparing to the previous screens.
Anyway, I'm not really bashing the UI.. it certainly looks pretty nice. I'm just afraid of the direction in which it seems to be going, because I prefer softer colours that look less like traffic lights

Traps that's what I was referring to, the physical design. I don't like the screen shot with the vinyl in the background and think the iphone one actually looks nicer ha ha. I will wait and see if the rest of the UI is nice. I am actually hoping this is not the real thing but if it is I hope that the test versions are not the finished product and the design will go back to the 3 button and 3-hole ear hole design.

Yeah, I agree about the physical design..
Actually, I like the vinyl as the default album art (I assume that's what it is)... It's just all that blue, overall colour saturation, and darkness that kill me. Yeah, the iPhone's music player looks better, or at least less tiring to my visual cortex, lol
@SteveMB93:
I think the background is actually the album art, and in that case it should be changeable in a more-or-less automatic way.
