I'd like to plug 15V computer speakers into my meizu and use an AC adapter with it...

Will this work or will it blow up my miniplayer?

I know I can just plug 15V computer speakers into my meizu and it will play and just use my meizu as a power source, but I'm not sure how using an ac adapter (that comes w/ the speakers) will affect it all, and I really don't want to hurt my miniplayer!!

Can someone please explain to me how this all works? Or just tell me with certainty that all will be well? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you! =)

Hi, there is nothing you have to be afraid of. Your speakers may be powered by 15V, but there is a reason why the audio jack of your speakers says "input". No power will harm your Meizu when you connect the headphone output of your Meizu with the audio input of your speakers.

ok, but what if I plug the speakers into my meizu and then power those speakers with a 15V AC adapter.. would that work? Because I don't want my meizu to have to power the speakers...

Thanks!! =)

*shudder* ... you have really no idea what you're doing, right ? I STRONGLY recommend to consult someone experienced before you break something.

lol! your right, I really don't have any idea what i'm doing, that's why I'm asking here..! and yeah, the speakers I'm talking about do have subwoofers!!

I really just want to use speakers with my meizu without using the meizu as a bettery supply (because it's only like, a 3V or something like that..) but I guess I should probably just get something specially made for this kind of thing..

Still, any help with this, even just telling me that using an ac adapter with the speakers and meizu would definitely blow something up would be appreciated, and thank you guys for the help I've already received! =)

I've hooked up my miniplayer to computer speakers, auxillary input into a home stereo, to a cheap home theater amplification system, and it works with no problem! In fact, I have spent hours listening to my miniplayer over the home stereo. The main thing I have to do is charge the miniplayer whenever I use the computer.
The stereo amplifies the signal going out from the miniplayer into the aux input of the stereo. As long as I don't connect the miniplayer into an amp's output, there should be no problems. The only thing you need is a cable that looks like a stereo headphone plug on one end with two rca plugs on the other end (L, R). Usually, you will have to remove all of the bass boost from the miniplayer when hooked up to some type of an amp.
I hope this helps.

cool! and your saying the computer speakers and home stereo and everything had an alternate source of power than your miniplayer right? I'm just worried that the 15V power coming from the ac adapter will be too much for my miniplayer, or that the two sources of power will clash or something.. (I really don' know anything about this stuff, lol) Thanks! =)
