how far is the development of the rockbox project for the meizu m6? Can we expect to see results within a few months? Preferrably before the m8 is released :-)

At the moment, markun is still trying to have some test code running on the meizu. But the player didn't react like he exepts to.

vcf: thank you for being the guide over here for visitors that look forward to RB. Of course thanx to the guys actually working on it.

Patches are applied by the command patch in NIX systems or cygwin as you can read in the rockbox guide to compiling or see wikipedia for .patch filetype

no need to apply the patch, since markun comitted it to the svn. Just download the latest version of the source and it will be there. (If you want to compile it, I think you have to use the bootloader method)

But as mentioned it'll do close to nothing. The code tries to switch the backlight on and off on an button event, but markun couldn't figure out, how to do that so far. Nothing fancy there.

I'd really like to contribute to this project, but all those pipes and operators make me sick. Plus I don't know jack about embedded programming.
