The aniticipation of the M8 has left me. The iPhone is my new calling. The best price, GPS, 3G what more could you want?
First time in Australia too.
Meizu M8 is getting old, youd better hurry up Jack Wong otherwise your company will be overthrown.

i dont know about other countries, but here, the lower price point is made up with increases in ATT charges...its all subsizidized through them...its not the bargain it seems...

granted you still may have to pay data etc with the m8, but at least your at cock lock and barrel stuck with one company...

i'm still highly anticipating the m8 and android phones alike.

Lets see, if I was crazy enough (which I am not) to sign an 18month contract in the UK at or even pay £270 on Pay As You Go I would want a device that supports multiple video codecs. I dont wanna be sitting there converting every damn AVI file I have.

Oh and I also wanna full control over my device without having to install software..

I read iphone2 doesn't support MMS, you have to pass threw mail, doesn't support copy and past neither... it is not a finished phone... but it exists for shure. M8 where are you.

the meizu m8, without the 640x480 screen as nothing more than the "old" 1st iphone version.
just maybe the price.

The iphone v2 price is good , but you have to still pay expensive contract each month : 50euro in france and 70usd are the minimun to pay to get this phone to an affordable price.

hobbsy101 are sure to get this phone for 200usd and pay each month a new contract, concardantly not !

But i think iphones v2 without contract could cost 400 usd and 500 usd for 8 and 16gb. ( apple has just reduce the ipod touch price , they don't want to concurrence themselves , for example a ipod touch 16gb cost about 300 usd now , for 200usd more you could get an iphone 16gb, my analyse could be true)

Now iphones from first generation could be found for 250 euro ( about 400usd )

After waiting and waiting the meizu attraction dissapear... no 3g, no dmb , no gps, the Meizu M8 project was too high for a company like meizu.

The upcoming samsung i900 is for me the better challenger against the iphone2.

I've already sell my iphone but i think i'm going to buy the samsung.

The Htc diamond is pretty cool but, no extensible memory and a smaller screen don't really interest me.

Sorry for all mistakes, i'm french lol

The main issue/problem is that nobody knows when the M8 will come out.
We are hearing all these good specs for M8 from last year, but still no phone yet.

I'm afraid that when M8 actually comes to market it will be too late as there will many other phones with these specs.
So in present I think "iphone 3G" is the best choice available.

Umm in Australia we can choose from what we call a plan (contract) or prepaid which means we pay for the amount of text calls beforehand and use them.
thats what optus and vodafone are doing over here.
so suck!

well, im a bit hesitant on the m8 now...
price is everything for me (being a student)
so whichever has price for functions... whichever wins my heart
but m8 is still amazing
if it can combat what apple has here... then lol good on them

It looks very good but the missing front-cam is a big mistake in my opinion. Videoconverencing is something I would probably never even use but it is the feature connected to 3G!

And now we could have something new from meizu What happens if m8 will never see meizu fans? There are so many fans here with overload of optimism m8 does not exist at all, just in our minds
It would be too much of a loss for them to just give up, they would have lost soo much money.

The iPhone isn't the king of smartphones because it isn't even a smartphone. The N95 on the other hand, is a smartphone. The M8 does exist. Please do your research before you say stupid stuff like that. It is not a commercially available product, but they have shown prototypes.
