I don't think nvidia is actually going to sell it to the public. They will sell it to a company (Such as LG or Samsung) who will manufacture and sell it.

yes i know that
but im guessing that nvidia will sell it to a company for a high price
meaning the product that that company will create with their chipset will most likely be costly. I think i read somewhere that Motorola is picking this up

well things seem to be quiet on meizu's side....
I was expecting the M8 to always stay in contact wherever I go but I will just get an eee pc 900 instead, this will be a great alternative to the M8 wich I now think will never come out...

There is no word on the price though.
They could have slapped a 3 inch 800x480 wide screen which I think would be a little bit better.

well - it is in amazon.de for 499 € - and even better: it will be out soon (next month - at least us.gizmodo.com told so)!!!!

Amazon.de: HTC P3700 Diamond (Touch-Screen, GPS, UMTS) Smartphone ohne Branding: Elektronik

I will have a look on it - but frankly, it looks perfect for me - if (and only IF - the touchscreen works like in the video)! BUT - I do not like the screen size Why did they not employ a wide screen? So no movie on it... a pitty!

And: there is no touchpen with it? - OK - I most likely only would use the fingers, but WM 6.1 has handwriting recognition - so why not using it?

499 is too expensive, and i like the design of the M8 much more.
I think all depends on the OS/GUI Meizu is creating

you are right. But only by the specs - the HTC Diamond is all I ever wanted - if and only if - they would use a wide screen and put a microSD in.

the costs: HTC is a quality brand - so I would not mind spending 450 € for it.

well - nevertheless - I will test it - maybe the screen is shitty... time will tell

Wow, looks like I started just the right topic here

I find the combination of touchscreen and touchpad very creative, though I doubt of the actual added functionalty of it. Price is a bit high, is this with an (expensive) contract? I'm fearing it is.

yeah the htc diamond does look nice. Really like the interface. However I think it is still a bit sluggish compared to the iphone, doubt Meizu will do better than that though tbh. It has no sd slot though and maxes out at only 4gb nand flash.

Also as a few people mentioned the screen is just too small IMO, wouldn't want to watch a movie on it. Also it only has 262,000 colours. Nice to see a vga screen though. If the M8 turns out to be rubbish though it is definitely an option to consider, hopefully they will increase the capacities. It will definitely be a lot more expensive than the M8 though.

damn, too bad for the ssd port but HTC has hit hard.
A killerphone phone out of nowhere.
I think this is the best alternative out at the time and that it will steal a lot of M8 potential clients.
Time is running out Jack!!!!

diamond is to expensive, 262k screen shows only 65k because for some reason wm can't show 262k only 65k and 16 million. native 65k would be better cause of the battery consumption. screen is nice, i don't really care about watching movies on ~2 inch screen cause it's retarded, i have my psp for that. design wise it reminds me of nokia prism which is imo bad cause i don't like the blocky back of the phone.

HTC Diamond Touch kicks ass!

HTC Touch Diamond website: HTC - Smart Mobility

I found my phone!
No more wondering if a phone with better Specs and interface than iPhone
will be released this year.
I think HTC is a little more competent than Meizu, their projects actually come to fuition! they made this phone and Sony's XPERIA X1 while Meizu is struggling to release one phone, come on!
You guys are right, patience does pay off!

Hmm, ahh... The M8 doesn't exist. Everything thus far has been speculation. Yeah screensize is a problem, but the there isn't even a functioning M8 yet, thus no ...ah functioning screen. Eitherway, it's either the Diamond or the XPERIA X1 (both HTC products, and both about to be released within months of their announcement). Now that's compitance. Meizu could learn a thing or two.
