As there doesn't seem to be news lately about the m8, let's discuss how the other side of the market is doing, eh?
More progress seems to have been reached as iPhone jailbreakers have now the possibility to install a native app for VoIP functionality. Semi-buggy atm, but still, a few new version numbers should fix that ->
hit it The added chat functionality is cool, there were already (web)apps for that but a all-in-app is better i guess. The important thing is the VoIP, which is a cool added feature to have (does the m8 have native VoIP/though apps as well?). Too bad my iTouch doesn't have a speaker/mic....:P
Also, the 3G rumor mill seems to be going again as the newest rumors claim the
June Apple event as release date for the 3G model
here. Seems logical, 1 year after the first iPhone and they could use the 3G-speed possibilities. I feel interested about how the 3G model will hold up against the non-3G m8, each with their own positive and negative sides. Meizu will have to prove that the m8 is on the same level as the iPhone first, of course. We'll see how that goes.
Which is all for now from the (unofficial) Apple side. Not much going on officially as well, as they are usually quiet before it's time to release something. We'll see how things will go.
