humm.. I don't think the zen is on the same product range as the ipod touch.. if I was to compare the zen to an apple product, I would put it like this: Meizu M6 > Creative Zen > iPod nano 3rd Gen

but I'd buy a Samsung P2 over the iTouch anytime :P

EDIT (back to topic): seriously though, we're probably having more news next month (maybe even a video of the final product), and it's not long until release now, so at this point if you really want the M8 it doesn't make sense to go for anything else.

yeah i thought about the p2 as well for a moment there. But the prices for a decent storage model (8gig) was so damn close to the price of the touch here in the EU, so i took the touch. It has the wifi and bigger community which the p2 lacks. Things like iTunes also bring free podcasts which I also kinda like. I hate importing expensive stuff anyway.

Yeah i am waiting for the 3G model, that's why.

Well I did say that the Creative Zen is a superior MP3 player. I would expect a Creative Zen to play videos and MP3's flawlessly, which they do. The Creative Zen W has a 4.3" LCD. I'm not so sure on the audio quality of the iPod Touch. Not anywhere close to the Creative Zen. The Creative Zen has a hard drive, so I guess you can't compare them, but the iPod Touch isn't as good as you think it is.

Wow, that 4.3" looks like a wonderful archos-like brick, too bad the res is smaller compared to the touch. It also kinda lacks every point i just mentioned in the last post.

I'm not going to lie, i wish they included a custom equalizer instead of prefixed forms. That's my only remark concerning music for now though.

Just because the resolution is higher on the iPod touch doesn't mean that it is better playing videos. It is not supposed to look pretty, it's not made by Apple. It plays videos better, and has better sound quality. CompactFlash card slot, built-in speaker, 16:9 widescreen.

I have absolutely no clue about what you are trying to say here. 4+ inch screen means it's a brick, has nothing to do with how it looks. Last time i checked a higher res screen gives better video. Video isn't lagging on the touch or something, so it is completely unfounded what you are saying.

DusL i wouldn't pay to much attention to the fanboy. The touch is a wonderful device and I wish I was lucky enough to own one like yourself. I am waiting for the M8 at the moment and will wait until it comes out to decide which player I will get. What the fanboy doesn't seem to realize is that the M8 is still a work in progress and still to this point a proper working prototype hasn't been displayed so realistically it is still writing on paper/an in-development product. With that being the point, we don't actually know if the M8 will be as good as they say it will be or even have all the features that were given to us or even live up to what they said it would be. So in conclusion you can't actually compare the touch to the M8...

...The M8 doesn't exist(yet). So the touch is a superior product as it is infact a product ha ha.

I just hope, for your sake especially stevemb93, that the M8 isn't a flop/piece of crap/lower standard product than we were led to believe

I don't understand the prejudice towards the Creative Zen W's 4.3 inch screen. It's just a different product, destined to a different audience. There are people who want a PMP where they can read subtitles without straining their eyes, you know? And the Zen W seems quite a nice little device, in fact.
Of course at 4.3 inches it becomes a bit bulky to carry in your pocket, but then again, it's a different product... do you carry your DVD player in your pocket?

@tails2:
...
Again, throwing the "fanboy" word around like that is rude and even insulting. As a somewhat recent member of this community, and someone who also likes Meizu products, I really feel bothered by that. Please stop it.

@Traps... hmmm, eh no!

All I am doing is stating an opinion which I feel and reckon a lot of other people would agree with. Also stating what is quite frankly more than likely true should not be viewed as rude. I am simply calling a spade, a spade.

If you have any more input on this topic then make an appointment and i'm sure i'll get back to you as soon as I can.(Not!!)
