An obvious advantage of having Rockbox firmware on the M6SL is that when Meizu releases a new player, support and updates to the M6 will most likely stop and new features and codecs support will be inexistant.

Having Rockbox, you have a much longer support.

Ehmm. So. What does the project need. Argue about usefullness of the project in a different thread.
