Innacurate Meizu Description Article?

iPhone clones attack CTIA! - Network World

The minione appears on slide 12/14 and the description reads as follows:

Meizu has had its iPhone knockoff out for a while (shown right), but it has a new black version available. Its latest iPhony is cheaper and looks a lot like the iPod Touch. The screen is 3.4 inches and costs anywhere from $265 to $400, depending on what storage size you buy. Meizu gives you the iPhone look with none of the iPhone features. At $400, I think I'll go with the original.

Out for a while? New black version? None of the iPhone features? What are they smoking? Ignorance!

That's what you get when you get a bunch of incompetant idiots that love Apple. They said the HTC Touch, Sony XPERIA, and just about every touchscreen was a knock off of the iPhone. Shows how much they know.

agree 100%
China + looks a little bit like IPhone= cheap fake "without any function"
Don't hold the Meizu in my hands jet, but I'm shure it will beat the apple crap!
I'm also shure that Meizu will help to break the prejudices against chinese firms.

Ouch!

I really feel ashamed of being a journalist if colleagues are like the one who wrote that feature. ALL the rules of journalism - the serious and real one - were not just forgotten, but violated.

Journalists should report information and facts
Journalists should corroborate every statement with evidence
Journalists should know the issues they are writing about
Journalists should avoid comments and opinions (that is the job of who, after many years of work and a proven knowledge, have earned the respect from readers)

What make me feel even worse is that the magazine on which this biased, undocumented and totally misleading feature was published is one on which I used to write (luckily on the paper edition and many years ago).

I understand that now money is little and contributions, especially on web, are paid very little, but please, choose contributors by their capacity and professionality, not because they charge the lowest fees.

Everything is now blogging and writing with the miracle amplifier called "The Internet", where anyone can write whatever he wants without any title to do that, and with "title" I mean a solid background, not a "press card". I really welcome freedom of speech and freedom of expressing opinions, but - as a rule of thumb - if it is an opinion should be given as that, not as "golden words chiseled in marble", otherwise facts need evidence.

Sorry for this long complaint, but I felt really disgusted and personally touched.

Everyone vote for the M8 in the poll!
I just love how its compared right next to phones like the Desay N8 and P168, and according to the description doesn't sound much better.
