As quoted in my title... if you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all. No disrespect, of course, I have my apple 2nd Gen Video, my shuffle and the new Nano and I also love my miniplayer SL (and use it more for videos
and radio) sorry Apple.

Dear Unregistered,
If you're so fond ot Meizu and MeziuMe why don't you register? Yes I do have an iPhone, in my right pocket but typing this with my other device that's not an iPhone as I need full qwerty for these kind of purposes, and no this is not a Windows based phone either

So criticizing is forbidden? Well, I don't think so: If there are only negative things to say then don't lie and tell good things instead! Stick to the truth!

Dear "Double Pimp",
From your capitlized "God" its obvious that your keyboard does have capital letters, not sure why you're not able to capitlize anything appropriately, it would also appear that your are not a "God" owner or user yourself as the iPhone would've capitlized the begining of each sentence. So dare one ask why you're not using the "God" you so highly refer to? Personally I am indeed typing this on my currently favorite phone which has full five row Qwerty keyboard, on which its possible to type faster than on a full keyboard and I am doing so right now without even looking at the phone. Yes the iPhone is my other pocket, it has its own purpose and usage. Together my two devices can do most of what I need on my daily mobile routines, though a Windows based device is still needed at times still since neither of the two devices I use (including the iPhone) can not handle certain simple tasks such as open and view PDB (no not a typo, I do not mean PDF) files, use flash features online and so on.

Are you sure you're in the right thread?
Windows CE as such is not the UI but the core the various UIs are built upon, not sure what you're comparing it to when you're indicating its outdated, Apple's UI is in fact older than Windows.
What's this about Asia and programmers??

Thank you

You might want to review this to get a clearer idea of what WinCE is and what its not Windows CE - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Windows CE has been quite dead since the last HPC's left the shelves a few years back, in the past cople of years or so however it has been revived but in a very different form mainly in PMPs and the alike devices, many a times you might not even know that you're using a Windows based device due to the very different UI, as is the case with the Meizu One UI, there's next to no hints that the Meizu phone runs a Windows based OS.
There however is SOME programs of the "old" generation Windows CE that have people been able to install on their PMPs and such, but most of the time these older programs are of little interest in todays marketplace.

He meant that Win CE is like GNU/Linux - it's just a kernel and there are different graphical environments running on top of it.

What on top of what? WinCE is very different from any other Windows.

Well grammatically in English you're saying here:

That Windows CE is LIKE GNU/Linux. Windows CE is a separate OS altogether, and the UI seen on the Meizu is yes on top of the WinCE, but that's not what you wrote, but is that what you meant? You meant the WinCE UI is like...?

"You meant the WinCE UI is like...?" - WTF??
You don't know what a kernel is?? It's just a core of the OS and that's exactly what Linux and WinCE is. Then you have a graphical environment runing on top of it (the kernel - in Meizu case it's WinCE).

To see what Windows CE is and what not please refer to this:
Windows CE - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unlike popular belief Windows CE is NOT the same as Windows Mobile or Pocket PC.

Well that is what Windows Mobile is yes based on Windows CE and then various graphical environments that can not be altered much by the OEM developers. In contrast to this a device running on actual Windows CE can differ dramatically from each other to the point of not even being obvious to the user that the OS is Windows CE, as the case with many MID and navigation devices out there today.

Wikipedia states that WinCE is a kernel (and that's exactly what I wrote before) and I've never mentioned Windows Mobile in my previous posts.

Let's just take this back to the initial replies shall we?
A) Mangels asks if Windows CE is like Pocket PC / Windows Mobile, with the MAIN objective with the question being what type of software he could install.
B) To this "Unregistered" replies that Windows CE is probably more like LINUX with UI flavors...
So first off this gives the impression (of someone asking a question of this nature) that Windows CE would have something to do with Linux in compatibility or some other fashion (as that was the REAL question!). Thereby I questioned what Linux would have to do with Windows CE!?
Also it is a reoccurring topic here (and elsewhere) as to how compatible a Windows CE device is with the vast amount of software for Pocket PC, Windows Mobile and the answer to that is, there is NO SUCH COMPATIBILITY! Not even all Windows CE programs (in fact very few!) will run on these "new generation" Windows CE devices, as most 3rd party Windows CE programs are 10+ years old and date back to HPC era!
