the audio chip it uses is the Wolfson 8987. Not sure if it is exactly the same model as the M6 or a newer version, but I do know that wolfson make some of the best audio decoding chips available on the market and Meizu use a version of the wolfson chip (I think). This player also uses ADI's very latest blackfin processor which has only just been released and runs at speeds above 600mhz. The T5 II is said to have full DVD res Tv-Out and is said to be able to decode rmvb upto 1024 X 576. It will also have an optional wireless controller for gaming. As well as GBA,NES, SNES & NEO GEO emulator support, FM Radio, calender and other options. The T5 spec has yet to be ofically released but here is the spec for the original T5 that I own:

With the new firmware it now supports Full ID3 tag browsing (genre and year aswell) Album Art support and is said to support SDHC cards too. My T5 is a great player. It does have a few problems decoding video at full speed above the screens native resolution, but with the new chip it should be much better. All videos re-encoded to 320x240 run great on mine at at all frame rates and high data rates. Unfortunately they seem to have taken down the T5 II screen shots but they have released a pre-release version of the new firmware for the original model that I have. It is the same as the T5 II but obviously does not include options for all the new hardware and software on the T5 II (Tv-out, calender, fm radio etc). I have included some screen shots you can see here >>>>>

The T5 II releases oficially on Feb 26th, we will have more info then. I think it will be a really great device. From my experience the engineers really know what they are doing and actually fix problems (unlike the meizu engineers) and firmware updates are very frequent. Since I got the player it has improved an unbelievable amount, with this new firmware it is almost unrecognisable. I have used many chinese devices and this is the best I have used apart from perhaps the M6, but it trumps the M6 in a number of ways too.
