of course, we need to follow the steps given by the rockbox developers... but if the unofficial firmware is real and open-source, then it may help in the task of finding how to communicate with the M6's hardware.

i think rock box for the m6 is a great idea. seeing how its open source and how anyone can contribute, i see this as a great way for letting the community squash all the bugs

yes, but the problem is that almost no-one knows how to actually do it, if i knew how to do it i would have certainly done it already!
it will indeed remove the bugs, but also we can add features like nice games, or support other video/audio/picture formats.
I also saw that there are a lot of extremely great themes for rockbox, so i cant wait to have it on my m6.

i think it will be a great idea just to registrate at rockbox.org and tell in the forum thread that i have meizu m6 and want to help.this will make the topic hot and the rockbox developers think that the port is perspective and we will finish it faster:D.now there is only one man who is trying to make that port and this man is i)))))but developers are answering my questions very slowley so the work is very long.so we just need to make the topic hot, i think))))

we need a locked, or well moderated thread, where the first post contains all the goals and issues, which are solved and have to be solved. or else this project will die because of a lack of organization

i agree, organisation is one of the most important things when working on a project like this, it will greatly increase the speed of development since all the goals and issues, and all available information will be in a single place.
there are already a lot of threads on this topic, so somebody could start a new topic, and put all the information available together in there, its not usefull to leave all the seperate topics open, it would be a lot better to have all information centralized and organized.
