Ever since I heard of this phone I've been dying to get one. Can't wait until it comes out. I'm saving up already. 3 mp camera + another video camera in the front? Thats insane. I hope it arrives in January.

this is one part of the phone i was woried about
the menu
its Definitly nice looking wonder how the apps load? hmm maybe like a swoosh sound :D to unlock it they should have a M and you circle it with you finger and it loads the menu with a animated load ( ie/ like the icons come from the right really fast loading row by down n sitting thier wobblein slightly then settle down ) do you get me ? or a option on animations :D

mmmmm, those icons are looking tasty, the M8 is getting crispier by the day. I pray they deliver on time, I have serious doubts though......

I don't know if you should believe this, but in this post it is being said that the Meizu CEO stated that the info about the M8 showing up at the CES next januari isn't official news. They claim that they don't determine whether it will show up; if not that probably means we would have to wait longer for the first exposure of it.

There is no telling whether the part of the februari release in the news a few days ago is still valid or not, as this wasn't official news as well.

If we count all the people here that have claim this in this pages... it will a commercial success. Just don't count on me ... I can't stand a cell phone/GPS mixed with my favourite device for enjoy my music, my Meizu M3.

I'm really interested in getting one myself. Living in the US and using Verizon currently for my cellhpjne service, if I don't switch to at&t by the time I can get one, I can at least have an awesome PMP and camera for the same price as an ipod touch.

To the person that is pontificating on the clone and how shameful it is for a company to do so I suggest that they look into the history of Apple. The chinese have just learned how to copy others work from Microsoft and Apple.

I deal with many products out of Taiwan and the ones I deal with have higher quality than what is being manufactured here in North America. You can't paint the brush of negativity against all products made in China. If you look at the education system the USA is turning out more lawyers per capita than any other country. If you look at China and other Eastern countries they turn out more engineers per capita than North America exponentially.

What has Apple given us??

Bad audio and bad video. Thats right. Most people don't know what good audio is. People are actually convinced that those Bose audio boxes are good.

In any event it looks like a mini one looks like a good product. It also appears that the release date is going to be disfunctional to the demand.

it can do all of these, but i think gps will only be available via a cradle or some kind of accessory. if you search the M8 forum you'll find plenty of information...

First of all - what is all the rumor about. I thought the m8 gonna have three hard buttons - not a single one? So I guess the picture is a fake - again. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Second: Why does everybody complain about the fact, that China is always copying - and whom?
Well - OK most times they do. Most cheap branches all over the world do. What do you expect? The parts for the phone and all the other stuff is cheap. If the total price match the quality, for me that is ok. Why shall s.o. pay 1 000 EUR for an idea other had years before, (Windows - Linux - Sun - Xerox - Apple history - Linux, Sun was inovativ, windows is more usable - but Applefans always complain)?
MEIZU payed for a good BS and Browser, that is worth the money. And honestly: The design of the picture does rember me to a standard PMP - the Iphone looks like a PMP for me, too. Only the mass is too stupid to know, what is standard and established since years.

IMHO: gimmy a TFT, the chips, the mainboard - I would try to assemble them as thin, small and nice at possible, and would try to put as much features in as possible - that is what I want to spend money for. If apple is so stupied to develop a new OS with less functionality - why shall i buy it? I remember when my friend presents the Ipone to me. nice looking (for 1600 EUR). But: slow - realy slow - internet (no G3). No flash and safari is such a bad browser compared to opera. The outlook sync is sh***, I can not modify my presentations, documents etc. Why spending money for such a sh*** - 10 EUR, but not one $ more.

The design: What should it look like with the previously mentioned parts- presumably like the M8 - or a Palm. 7 years ago I got a PDA - with icons to touch - it looks like the Iphone - but no one cares and blame Apple... yesterday (again), s.o. told me, my m600i (got it 2006) is a copy of the IPhone - that is realy sick. And I tell you - I can sync it with all office stuff I had - it is based on Symbian, an old OS.

China is copying - ok - but please realize: What are they copying. It is nothing crucial - it is a design, and not even the original one.
BUT: It is not easy to assemble parts together - with high qualtity. That is s.th. I want to spend money on.

the picture isn't fake, it was officially released by Meizu, but later the CEO - Jack Wong said it's gonna have 3 buttons on the bottom, and he cannot show us the picture because it's under patents register.
