Meizu M6 8GB bugs? What bugs are there?
Hello, I'm considering to buy a Meizu M6 8GB but I am not 100% sure yet since I've heard it has some bugs(even with the new firm-ware).
What bugs are there? Since if they are really annoying I guess i'm better of buying a decent Mp3-player like an I-pod.
Nah just kidding I'll never buy an I-pod .
So anyways what are all the bugs with the Meizu M6 and would you recommed me buying one now or are there better players avaible? (My budget is around ~170 Euro).
Thanks for reading and I hope someone can help me out .

Buy an M6. It's a great deal, around $150 for an 8 gig. However, as you already know, there are some bugs that need to be fixed. A Major bug is when watching video, there is always a lag between audio and video. It isn't a lot, but it is noticible when watching, say a music video. However, if you use a video conversion software that has a Delay, or Audio/video lag fix option, it shouldn't be a big problem because you won't notice the lag. Some people complain about problems at the end of mp3's but I don't have that problem. I don't know why, maybe some of those people complaining bought their M6 from one of those sellers that aren't trusted. If you do buy one, buy it from JTC Electronics. They have good customer support, and will replace your M6 if anything goes wrong. If you do end up with a M6 with the problem with the end of Mp3's, don't fret, convert them all to WMA using windows media player, or some other converter (google Mp3 to WMA converter). There is also a hiss bug that should be fixed soon with a firmware upgrade. The hiss dissapears if you do not use the spatializer, so that shouldn't be a problem. If you do want to use the spatializer, the hiss isn't bad at all. You shouldn't notice it during the song, only at the beginning when the music isn't very loud. All the bugs mentioned should be fixed within another firmware upgrade or two, when Meizu comes out with it. I also suggest you wait for the M6SE, which will only cost $130 for a 8 gig, and has a Tv out, 30fps video, 7mm thickness (as thick as an ipod nano) and more. Refer to the M6SE page on the Meizume forums(I think it is on the bottom of the Homepage). I have never had any major problems with my M6, just some minor freezes (Maybe once every two months, which can be easily solved with a soft reset (holding down the return button for 20 sec.). Also, you have to be careful to chose the SP or TP (depending on your player) when upgrading your player. If you do choose the wrong firmware, you have to use DFU Tools, a nifty way to save your player if you damage it. PM me if you have anymore questions, or if you do buy an M6, PM me about any troubles you are having.

mbarry, read my post. I have even included a song with no ending silence for you to try to prove it's there. It happens on any "live" type cd song, or any song with a continuous track list where one track leads into another and thus has no silence at the end.
http://www.meizume.com/showpost.php?...1&postcount=35
Read the part about sounds bugs as you listen to them or you won't get what each file is about.
By the way... it's NOT THE SONG'S fault for not playing correctly ONLY ON THE M6. Like everyone has stated, ANY of the songs that skip on their M6 DOES NOT skip on any other player, including on the PC. It is an M6/M3 problem.

Odd, I realize, but I have not yet had a song skip on my M6. I have also never experienced the "end of song" bug many people have complained about. Most of my music is in .ogg format, and some .flac. My MP3s on the M6 probably number in under 50 titles, and all those were encoded using the LAME encoder, under Linux.....and play great even when mixed between ogg and flac (also encoded using Linux).
I consider myself lucky to not to have seen these problems so far.

I have both CBR and VBR songs in both mp3 and WMA format. They sound the same to me. I've never had a problem with the "end of mp3's" or any other song related issues except for hissing at the beginning of each song. I have a couple of live songs after eachother on my player, but have never had the skipping/end of song problem. Maybe some M6's are flawed...As a note, Most of my songs are WMA VBR, some are CBR.

A lot of people are having the end of song problem, you see about 20 threads about it all around here, and more elsewhere. I can make the problem happen all the time on mine... if it were still working. I recorded the problems with skipping and slight cutoffs in the beginnings of some songs, and tried different songs. They do exist, though mostly, CBR shows nothing, and VBR is the main problem with the end of song thing.
