I have a question. I have loaded well over 1,000 songs on my 8GB player. It displays which song it's playing out of 1,000. So if I'm playing song 556 out of 1,000 it displays as 556/1000. My question is, since I have over 1,000 songs on there and I'm playing all of them randomly, does it not play past the one thousandth song?

I think there are some limits,,,
when I put all my green day albums on it, then it doesn't show all of them

there seems to be a 128 songs per artist limit. Above that number get cut off.
