Rumored Meizu M6 T3.001.2 Changes
Recently, there was a thread on the Chinese Meizu BBS about the new firmware T3.001.2. Apparently, a member had the new firmware installed and took pictures and provided a changelog of the new firmware. The thread was quickly deleted, but here is what we managed to gather.
T3.001.2 Changelog (Rumor)
- Support for .APE added, .CUE files do not work yet.
- Fixed the inaccurate clock.
- Added OTG functionality (external battery accessory needed).
- Added zoom functionality for images.
- Control scheme for recorder changed.
- Shutdown timer reworked, now supports up to 420 hours.
Thanks /\/\@D/\/\@/\/ and iversonjack!

Hope this is true. OTG would be great. Don't mind the other changes either...

Fine and dandy. Although the latest firmware is working fine, I would appreciate it if they made adding Album Art KISS simple. That's it.

When are they planning to increase the SNR? I remember reading that it was planned for the next firmware.

Search these forums or the internet for OTG definition, it has been covered extensively.
I don't think PNG are supported yet.

He is probably a beta tester and it's called T3.001.2 because he installed the TP firmware on his TP player.

OTG = On The Go.... It means you can transfer files to and from the M6 from any USB storage device.
With the additonal battery pack you can purchase from some emizu providers there is an unknown USB port , this is to plug in a USB storage device and transfer files over with them M6. So you can get an external plug n play hard drive as long as it is powerd somehow and plug it to your M6 then you would gain a hudge libary that you can transfer over.
Its also usefull for memory card IE digital cameras so you can get a card reader and put the files onto your M6 so you can re-use your camera memory card on holiday or whatever.
EDIT:
Sorry , Err0r got there before me.

The 420 hours shutdown timer looks a bit stupid, it's OK that you can increase , but why can't they make it reasonable?
Hope they have corrected the existing bugs, there are too many!!

i like it, but i was hoping for other improvements, like over clock the processor so you could watch video at 24 FPS or more. and i was hoping they'd increase the speed for play list's.

420 hour shut down time seems to be a mistake to me as its a ridiculous number.. if its seconds that would be 7 minutes...
I dont like the idea of having to carry around(and buy) an extra part to use OTG... it kind of defeats the purpose of OTG.. besides ...why do i need an extra battery pack if both my cam and my m6 have a battery already?

LOL yeah, I was just talking to Err0r about that shutdown time. I think it's a mistake, and so does a lot of people. The snippet of information that we got the new firmware information from had the last line cut off, which was the line containing information about the sleep timer.
Other then that, I would really like to use the zoom function for pictures!

What about the end of an VBR mp3 repeating itself until the next song starts?
Or the REALLY slow start time when choosing songs from playlists?
Hopefully those aren't the only changes.

OTG would be a godsend. The battery pack can come in handy for long trips and when you need a battery life when you aren't around an alternate source of energy. As people have already said, the battery pack is the necessary hardware to use OTG. It's also extremely tiny - which is obviously a good thing.
Being able to bring a tiny harddrive packed with DVDs would be essential for going on trips and long fights. I really really hope it will be ready soon!

true that, OTG is a nice feature but they should fix the main feature of a MP3 player and that is playing mp3 files flawlessly

Honestly, guys. It sounds great, looks great, has a big capacity, why bother because some of the songs end repeat itself for app. 1-2 seconds???
Btw, OTG will be great indeed, I've planned to buy a battery pack anyway.

The question is, why not fix it?
