I don't get the screen that you're talking about. I only get some clicking sounds...

I can only suggest that you open the player and check that the touchpad control strip has not come adrift or dirty. There is a locking tab accross the top of the connection socket that needs to be flipped up to remove the membrane, then give it a clean with a cottonwool bud dipped in metho, reinsert it and press the locking tab down again and see if that helps.

It is a fiddley job but not to difficult, I had to do it last night to resolder the on\off switch which had snapped off the mainboard.
Maybe I'll give it a try... considering sending it back for warranty (assuming they'll even fix it) will prolly take forever and be expensive...
