Buttons not working on my M6 =(

For some odd reason, my miniplayer control pad does not work. There is no response when I press the M, |<<, >>| and <-- buttons. However, the power and lock buttons still work.

Most of the time, the songs just keep on skipping.. like it was being fast forward... On occasion, the songs play for a few seconds then jumps to another song... My hunch right now is a stuck >>| button...

When re-flashing the player, I don't get the "Upgrading Software,Please wait..." nor does it shut down as described in the tutorial... I only get a "Formatting... Please wait..." message.

Any idea as to what the problem may be and how I can fix it?

I can only suggest that you open the player and check that the touchpad control strip has not come adrift or dirty. There is a locking tab accross the top of the connection socket that needs to be flipped up to remove the membrane, then give it a clean with a cottonwool bud dipped in metho, reinsert it and press the locking tab down again and see if that helps.

It is a fiddley job but not to difficult, I had to do it last night to resolder the on\off switch which had snapped off the mainboard.

I don't get the screen that you're talking about. I only get some clicking sounds...

Maybe I'll give it a try... considering sending it back for warranty (assuming they'll even fix it) will prolly take forever and be expensive...

I made a posting on the Meizu Forums and emailed miniplayer.info but still haven't received a response. Is China the only service station? The warranty card was never sent in and I'm not too sure where my receipt went although the Date Code is FIN ( = 2006-09-14?)
