Great news!:D

looks geat,if they realy releas this player it would be mindblowing because it is exactly why i bought my 2gb black miniplayer one month ago(good video and audio in a smal player with big screen). But this... TV out,the supported video formats, the TV out VGA resolution, finnaly 30 fps and thats all in 7 mm? i cant belive thisits almost to good to be true.^^I see on the pic that they changed the button layout the enter button is now play/pause so whre will be the tv out and lock button ,on the upper sideWhen this player is realy realsed in 4Q2007, ill sell my SP miniplayer on ebay and then i know what i want for chritsmas:DBut the price will sure be expensive for this player.

Greetz

PS:But untlil this player meizu need to update the FW because there are some video bugs. Because i would say they will use the same FW just like the normal M6 dose .They`ve also done that with the M3.And sorry for my english^^

i hope this news does not mean that the current miniplayer won't be having future firmware updates.

For me the biggest news is the M3 SE has been shelved for the time being. It looked as though Meizu got it right the second time around, but we'll just have to wait longer to find out.

Sounds good to me, hopefully it will be cheaper. Interesting to see if the video thing will improve playback on videos, hopefully it will eliminate the syncing problems

Definitely a buy when it comes out. Only one complaint: can Meizu be a bit more imagnitive with the naming? SE sounds so much like it was simply borrow from Windows 98 SE without any thinking at all.

SE is widely used as Special Edition in many different products. It isn't as if Microsoft is the only ones who used it previously.

This is definitely going to be a great product, I think they should have kept the original thickness and allowed more flash memory, maybe they will release a larger capacity with original case size in future.

If they can fit 8GB or 16GB in the SE edition , they should be able to get 32GB or 64 GB at least in size of the SP model using that extra 3mm difference.

Or the other option is to add some SD type memory slots, for expansion like on the Telecast and Sansa range of mp3 players.

Although price is often important I personally wouldn't want a price so low that the quality of the product is comprimised. If it's a cheap DAP you want you can't really expect a ton of practical functions. It's the exact same thing with mobile phones. That being said I must add that Meizus products are already very cheap in comparison to what they deliver.

I agree, I don't want it priced too high, which I highly doubt it will. I payed more for my M6 than what I could have so I'm a bit concerned with prices now :P

Oh, yes.. nice...
And, this one will play videos with synchronized audio, or will still have a lot of problems, like my old M6?

And, by the way.. why Meizu dont fix old products before releasing new ones?

Unhappy if true...

ive heard that a new meizu m6SL is coming out. this is also a thinner version that has no real technical changes and it will be released in august of this year. teh m6SE, which will have some awesome features, will be delayed to December.
hopefully they will prioritize the m6SE and hold off or cancel the less useful m6SL

In China now and I talked to a Meizu rep in Beijing's Zhong Guan Cun (big electronic shopping area) and she said that the new M6 will only be thinner then the current one, no new hardware improvements. She even said that the price would be exactly how much the current M6 costs. I'm going to be going to southern China next week so if I get a chance I'll stop at the Meizu building and see if I can get any more info.

Video-out is probably somehting I would only occasionally but better video support is a must.

She was talking about the M6 SL and not M6 SE.

hey guys, im confused, u say there is a thinner version and a thinner version with added features.
is the vanilla (i think its called) thin version coming out sooner in august right??

basically u guys know so much more than me about technical stuff and i just dont get it. is there any point in me waitng extra3 months.. i mean you guys really care about your technical stuff right? i just wana watch vids and listen to music and get radio with a reasonaly battery, in simpl terms please can u explain what the extra features are (the main ones) and if this will affect anyone who wants to use it at a basic level.
thankyou

have an M6 original? or cant wait 4-5 months

ok..
get a meizu M6 to kind of tide yourself over for the SE.
and when the SE comes out...
sell the original M6
and then save a little money if needed and buy the SE...
depends how much it is..
hoping that it isnt TOO much more than the original, right?

i see a thinner m6 as more important than extra features. what it has already sounds like enoufh for most genmeral users but the fact its fat atm makes me think maybe i want an M3 or nano.. wich ic ant get cus i want a large video screen. its definetly a bigger change than any features, no features oculd be THAT revolutionary otherwise it would be massive news, but think; size is usually what makes companies bring out a new player

i hope the thin versio comes out beginning of august ^____^

i mean, unlessw the december features are that amazing. what are they in simple terms?
