Thanks for the input, but I'm sorry, that's not the problem I'm running into here.

I have not tried to do any movies as yet - simply some 5 minute test clips, and a few 1/2 hour TV shows.

Clips processed with Badak are lagging as well.

I'm now trying MediaCoder. The first pass at 400Kbps video @ 20fps (as defined in the miniPlayer Profile) resulted in stuttering video, and the furthest out of sync audio I've seen so far.
