Jack: Meizu Android Squad hard at work
Tweet! Share on Facebook Submit to Digg Submit to Reddit Submit to Del.icio.us Jun 18, 2009 - 9:45 PM - by Err0r

In response to a fan suggesting that Meizu should adopt the Android platform for the Meizu M8, Meizu CEO Jack writes: "We already have a team with the sole purpose of investigating the Android platform."

Will we see Android on Meizu M8? Not likely in the near future. However, Android on the light and stylish Meizu M8 would be really nice, so please Jack, if you're reading, bring it to us quickly!

Tweet! Share on Facebook Submit to Digg Submit to Reddit Submit to Del.icio.us Jun 12, 2009 - 8:43 PM - by Err0r

Two weeks ago we told you about Cootek and Meizu working on porting Touchpal to Meizu M8. Today, it's available for you to try.

Recently, a beta of Touchpal for Meizu M8 was released in Chinese. We have now translated the GUI for you and applied a nice looking skin. So far, it's looking really good and working very smoothly. But don't take our word for it, download Touchpal for Meizu M8 and take it for a spin yourselves!

If you're a non-English typer, don't forget to download your language pack. Currently, there is support for no less languages than French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Czech, Norwegian, Portugese and Swedish.

External battery charger is ready for Meizu M8
Tweet! Share on Facebook Submit to Digg Submit to Reddit Submit to Del.icio.us Jun 12, 2009 - 10:57 AM - by nice2know_u

Currently the Meizu M8 external charger is only available for free to fans in China who have registered about 2 months ago for the promotion (more than 50,000 registrations). They will also get a free battery with express shipping. That's really nice of Meizu, isn't it?

No pricing was mentioned, but we should be seeing this on store shelves soon.

Touchpal for Meizu M8
Tweet! Share on Facebook Submit to Digg Submit to Reddit Submit to Del.icio.us Jun 01, 2009 - 8:39 AM - by nice2know_u

The best software keyboard for WM devices has been successfully ported to our beloved Meizu M8. Features include: Up to 450 chars/min input speed, resizable keyboard, mistyping correction and prediction, word association and the best of all: support for more than 20 languages. However Touchpal's international version is not free only the chinese version, and it's uncertain at this point if we can install more languages by ourselves.
Internal testing should begin soon and if all goes well we can download it later.
